The Team

The Debt Advisory team is seeking a strong Associate to support its growing national business. The successful candidate will be expected to work across a broad range of debt products and markets. The team is currently advising a range of listed and private companies on high profile debt finance transactions.

Given the role will support the national business, there is flexibility as to the candidate’s base office.

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for delivering work streams on client engagements and take a proactive business development role.

The candidate will also need to demonstrate the following:

Skills and competencies

Demonstrable team player skills

Understanding of the UK capital markets

Strongly rated self-starter who demonstrates initiative and confidence to efficiently work with clients and other stakeholders

Strong quantitative and Excel skills, preferably with a track record of developing and operating financial models, and the ability to translate quantitative analysis to qualitative advice

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrates proactivity in supporting and sharing experiences with others in the team

Experience and Background

To succeed in this varied and demanding role you will need to demonstrate the following experience:

ACA, ACT, CFA or similar professional qualification preferred

Experience of debt products and markets

Strong academic background

Ability to identify critical & relevant data sources

Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to high quality standards & detail oriented

Personal drive to deliver results within tight deadlines

Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with colleagues and clients alike
