The Role

This role is to join our UK Healthcare practice as an Assistant Manager, working closely with the leadership team you will play an important part in delivering our growth strategy and will manage teams to deliver quality client engagements in the capability area of Finance Transformation (‘FT’).
In FT, we improve the effectiveness and efficiency of finance functions and generate real insights to help deliver value to our clients through Corporate Services Transformation. Our team is also a market leader in Mergers and Acquisitions across Healthcare and has a growing demand from our clients for Business Case support to assist large public sector change and investment decisions. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a growing team where you will be supporting senior managers in driving the sales pipeline and building relationships with clients to develop further opportunities.
• Engagement delivery: managing projects or work-streams of small to medium size and complexity (including analysing and interpreting data, drafting report findings and preparing and attending client meetings and workshops).
• Business development: contribute to the development of and sustaining relationships internally and with client management; supporting the business development activity of senior members of the team (including shaping, developing, contributing to and presenting proposals/bids for future work)
• People development: monitor team members and accelerating development with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer
• Practice development: supporting processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business

The Person

You should have strong finance knowledge and demonstrate the following skills:

Knowledge and understanding of:
• NHS policy, structures (regulation, commissioning and providers), standards and day to day financial management
• Merging or integrating organisations, including across corporate services; either in a client consulting or senior finance line management capacity
• Issues and challenges facing the Finance Function, Finance business partnering and trends in Finance
• The changing healthcare landscape facing the future of the NHS in the UK

Experience of:

• Working in the UK Healthcare market, in a client facing or finance line management capacity would be beneficial
• High quality project delivery experience and strong knowledge related to our financial management capability offerings (Powered Enterprise, Corporate Services Transformation, Global Business Services, Enterprise Performance Management, Mergers & Acquisitions)
• Experience of working in client facing role delivering high quality work to tight deadlines
• Experience within a project/finance change environment
• Strong work ethic, professional and personable
• Strong commercial and financial analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
• Good communication with the personal skills to build strong and lasting internal and client relationships
• Strong people management, able to lead small teams and develop other
• Eligible for SC level of security clearance

• Accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA)

Additional Information
The role can be based in anyone of our major offices in the UK (Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh/Glasgow) and candidates must have a willingness to travel domestically, with the potential to be away from home for set periods of time.
