Job Description
Job Title: Senior Sharepoint Developer/Engineer
Business Unit: IT Services
Grade: C
Reporting Manager: Programme & Project Delivery, Application Engineering Lead

Role Synopsis:
The Senior SharePoint Developer will have responsibilities for developing solutions with the SharePoint framework within IT Services.

Primary focus of the role:
To support the business requirements for the provision of IT Services application services.
To provide technical engineering services to the project portfolio.
To undertake the implementation of application developments, including defined projects where assigned.
To ensure the service being implemented through the team is in line with business expectations and deliver

Skillset to include:
SharePoint 2013&2019 Onprem/SharePoint Online
SharePoint Online REST API services / Office 365
Nintex Workflow and Forms and integration with SharePoint
SharePoint Designer Workflow
JavaScript
jQuery
CSOM / JSOM, CAML, CSS
Development of single page browser apps using ReactJS, React Router and React Redux using REST-based data services

Desirable skills:
Visual Studio / VSCode / TFS
Some Server-Side development experience (C# / ASP.NET)
SharePoint App model
PowerShell
Visual Studio Code, Node and NPM



Key Accountabilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

- Day to day focus on the ongoing application related projects within the team.
- Working with different roles and disciplines, e.g. technical managers, leads, test manager, project managers and business analysts to achieve the desired outcome for the end customer.
- Accountability for aspects of operational acceptance criteria required for the successful delivery of new services and working with relevant teams to ensure they are transitioned appropriately;
- Occasionally assist the Service Operations teams with the investigation, escalation and resolution of Infrastructure technical issues that cannot be resolved by the BAU teams.
- Providing technical support on a range of IT Services projects
- Working with 3rd parties service providers to assist in their deployment of new services within KPMG.
- Working with 3rd party vendors where necessary.
- Being the key point of contact for specific applications within the Application Engineering team.
- Maintaining of associated operational documentation, including periodic assessments.
- Creation and ownership of new documentation.
- Using strong applications technical knowledge, to challenge and support technical decisions being made.

Previous Experience:


- Minimum 5 years in a similar IT technical role, ideally within a Professional Services environment.
- Experience of service implementation with particular focus on development and implementation of ITIL and project lifecycle processes.
- Experience of working within a project deployment environment.
- Experienced in planning, facilitating, and managing change - strong facilitation skills are key for this role.
- Experienced in a wide base of technologies within the market.
- Experience of working on multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience of taking ownership of key issues and activities and managing the expectations of key stakeholders around timely delivery.

Essential Criteria:


- Strong technical skills within the relevant Applications technical area (ie, SQL, Data Analytics, ERP Solutions, SharePoint etc),
- Experience of working within a project deployment environment.
- Ability to quickly react to changes in project demand and change within individual projects.
- Ability to lead multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to develop and explain complex operational information.
- Must take ownership of key issues and activities and manage the expectations of key stakeholders around timely delivery.
- The ability to communicate with all levels of staff, management and up to Partner level.
- Driven and passionate with good interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player with strong problem solving and technical skills who enjoys helping people.
- Resilience, with high focus on ‘getting the job done’.
- High energy, flourishes in fast pace, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work under pressure dealing with a high volume of change.
- Ability to report at senior level across multiple processes, focusing on key data.
- Ability to develop and leverage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Be a role model to other members of the team, by demonstrating professional attitude and behaviour at all times.
- Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and identify areas within ITS that these could be used.

Qualifications:

- MS Accreditation if possible, but experience preferable.
- Relevant professional certifications within the specific technical specialist area.
- ITIL Foundation
