Overseas Tax & International Business Travel (IBT) Compliance Manager

The Role:

The Overseas Tax & IBT Compliance Manager is a new role within the Partnership Tax Team who are responsible for dealing with all tax, employer, reporting and immigration requirements for business travel by KPMG UK colleagues.

Following Brexit, additional requirements and reporting are needed which will be a key focus for the team to ensure KPMG and its employees remain compliant with immigration, reporting and tax requirements when overseas.


• Monitor LINK (internal business travel tool) and manage overseas tax reporting requirements such as:
• Ensure overseas corporate tax filing requirements are assessed for all business travel.
• Manage registration with overseas tax authorities for all taxes and other authorities.
• Be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing overseas corporate tax returns.
• Assist with dealing with overseas corporate tax enquires.
• Prepare country by country reporting.
• Ensure overseas tax payments are made on time and accurately.
• Liaise with employment tax, indirect tax and social security specialists to ensure any overseas liabilities as a result of business travel are met.
• Advise on tax implications for business travel as a result of the BREXIT trade deal to the business and senior leadership.
• Advise the business on requirements such as EU Posted Worker Regulations and manage the notification process for business travellers.
• Manage policy and requests from colleagues to work overseas for personal reasons.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills:
• CTA or ACA qualified.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dealing with overseas corporate tax or longer experience in dealing with UK corporate tax.
