The Personal Independence team are part of Quality and Risk Management, which is responsible for monitoring the firm’s and its individuals’ compliance with the firm’s professional risk management and quality control policies, procedures and guidance. Furthermore, the team work with the wider Quality and Risk community and across the KPMG network to exchange knowledge, develop and improve processes and procedures in response to emerging regulatory, business and other requirements.

The Personal Independence team are responsible for providing guidance and advice to Partners and the firm’s personnel on personal E&I matters and play an important role in running related processes and procedures to ensure compliance. The KICS team are part of the wider Personal Independence team and work directly with the firm’s personnel, providing advice and support to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures in relation to their personal investments.

The Role
This role will report to the Personal Independence Operations Manager and be responsible for the performance management of the team overseeing the management/maintenance of the non-Partner population KICS accounts within the firm to ensure that they are fully compliant with the policies and procedures in relation to their personal investments. This will include the allocation of the daily processes to the KICS team, ensuring deadlines and service level agreements are adhered to on a consistent basis and monthly reporting to demonstrate as such.

Training will be provided whilst you develop a working knowledge of relevant regulations and processes, after which you will be expected to independently oversee the day to day requirements of the team in addition to second level reviews of processes and production of relevant MI reporting.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are as follows:

- Allocating work to KICS team
- Ensuring the KICS teams tasks are carried out within the agreed SLA’s and in accordance with the applicable regulations and existing guidance.
- Providing subject matter expertise/guidance to and being an escalation point for the KICS team.Supervising responses to queries, resolving and documenting more complex queries by conducting research and related precedents and consulting with the Personal Independence Operations manager.
Completing second level reviews on processes undertaken by the KICS team
Developing a comprehensive understanding of investment products and how they relate to independence requirements.

Performance management of the KICS team members
Carrying out regular review of KICS compliance processes within key systems
Assisting other Personal Independence team members with wider compliance programmes, where required.
