Job Description:
To provide technical support, managing certain aspects of the group consolidation and corporate entity accounting in addition to undertaking technical reviews of accounting and disclosure implications of transactions, complex client contracts, alliances and other transactions as they arise.

Responsibilities:
Technical projects and support

- Assessing specific technical issues arising on significant transactions, including but not limited to those associated with alliances and managed service contracts.
- Liaising with in-house technical team where relevant and necessary.
- Preparing technical briefing papers for review by management and external auditors, incorporating recommendations where alternative application is permitted.Group consolidation
- Managing quarterly consolidation, reviewing consolidated balance sheet and income statement and providing technical support to the team where required.
- Preparation of reporting for quarterly consolidated balance sheet and income statement prepared on a full IFRS basis, including adjustments in respect of IFRS 16 Leases and IFRS 9 Financial Instruments.UK legal entities
- Managing all aspects of legal entity reporting, including quarterly trial balance review, corporation tax reporting and support and financial statement preparation and audit.
- Supporting on the development of the Corporate group, managing the structure and supporting on changes to the structure over time, through liquidation or merger of entities.Other
- Support of external audit process.
- Coaching and managing team E and D grades to assist in delivery of consolidation and entity reporting and audit.
- Assisting in other ad hoc projects, as required.
Skills required:
• Qualified accountant with a strong understanding of financial reporting conceptual framework and experience in application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Knowledge of LLP Statement of Recommended Practice (‘SORP’) and/or experience of accounting for partnership accounting.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Good Microsoft Office skills essential. Aptitude for working with data.
• Excellent communication skills – the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and partners and act appropriately on requests.
• Proactive thinking but also willing to learn and work as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills – ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and work and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Attention to detail and respect for confidential information.
