Role Overview

KBS (KPMG Business Services) is the single provider of internal business services, advice and expertise to the Firm, across HR and Learning, Market Development, Risk and Legal, Corporate Affairs, Finance and Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations, Facilities and Business Support.

The Direct Supply Chain (DSC) , comprising Resourcing, Contingent Hire and KGS onshore (and with very close links with Talent Acquisition) is responsible for providing a holistic view to workforce planning and management. As a function the DSC is critical to staffing our engagements and ensuring long term profitability.

Reporting to the Head of Direct Supply Chain, and with a dual reporting line to the Capability COO, the Direct Supply Chain Lead will be the primary point of contact for the Capability Group Leadership Team for strategic workforce matters, responsible for enabling the budgeted workforce mix. The successful candidate will manage a team of Business Partners responsible for Resourcing, Contingent Hire and KGS.

Deliverables and Accountability:

- Work with the Capability COO and Leadership team to define and own the Strategic Workforce Plan for the Capability Group - incorporating all sources of the workforce, Permanent, Contractor, nearshore and Offshore.

- Work with Key Capability Stakeholders to understand medium to long term resource requirements and liaise with teams across the Direct Supply Chain and OEH to build capability.

- Provide strong leadership and manage a team of supply BPs (Senior Managers) responsible for demand capture across Resourcing, Contingent Hire and offshore resources.

- Ensure demand and supply meet to deliver all sources of the workforce ‘just-in-time’

- Work closely with Direct Supply Leads in other Capabilities to share knowledge and learnings and ensure appropriate lending/borrowing.

- Identify trends and events that will impact the future workforce requirements and future forecast Service Delivery Model. Develop and implement solutions to meet these needs.

- Set / review the key parameters that will characterise the future workforce (eg permanent v contractor v offshore, grade mix, etc) required to achieve the business strategy.

- Assess current workforce against key parameters and identifying capability/skills gaps and identify and implement solutions to close gaps.

- Act as point of escalation for all in-Capability issues relating to the Supply of workforce.

- Act as single point of contact for the coordination of the Supply Chain for any large Capability bids/engagements.

- Work closely with Senior Stakeholders to increase % of offshore resource across the business. Work with KGS Leadership to establish recruitment plans at KGS including build new capacity

- Drive forward pragmatic and creative solutions for clients that differentiate KPMG.

- Design and build the operational workforce planning process and review as required – this includes usage of workforce analytics (demand v supply) as required

- Working with Capability COO translate Annual Budget into Operational Workforce plan for the upcoming FY

- Ensure that the Operational Workforce Plan is aligned to the parameters defined in the Strategic Workforce Plan

- Work with recruitment to establish talent acquisition team and BP to establish recruitment plans

- Work with Head of Contingent labour to proactively build KPMG contractor pool

- Standing attendee for workforce planning meetings, deputising for Capability COO where appropriate
