Background
The Partner Independence team are part of the wider Personal Ethics & Independence (“E&I”) team in Quality & Risk Management and sit within the OEH (Operational Excellence Hub). The Personal E&I team is responsible for developing and deploying appropriate policy, procedure and guidance on Personal Ethics and Independence (firm, personal and service-related) to ensure compliance with regulatory and KPMG International requirements, ensuring an adequate programme of communication and training in respect of those policies and procedures is in place and providing guidance and advice to Partners and staff on all E&I matters.
The Partner Independence team provide support and guidance to all of KPMG’s partners and partner equivalents and play an important role ensuring personal independence compliance is met and upheld by helping them to accurate maintain their personal compliance records in line with the policies and procedures surrounding their personal financial affairs.

The Role
This role will be managing the accuracy of financial data to help maintain personal independence across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are as follows:
• The individual will be responsible for checking fund information and updating the KICS platform, so it accurately reflects audit relationships at all times.
• Complete monthly controls and reconciliations on the 7 new investment firms ensuring all investments remain compliant from an Ethics and Independence perspective.
• Regular data refreshes across the 7 investment firms and our internal systems.
• Manage and develop relationships with external financial advisors and look at innovative ways of managing personal independence across our people.
• They will be responsible for managing key relationships with the KPMG Global Independence Group.
• Produce regular, accurate reports and dashboards.

The Person – Skills, Qualifications and Behaviours

• Experience working with financial data, analytics, and single fund investments.
• The ability to interpret and manipulate data to create reports and dashboards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and have a background in either compliance or investment data management.
• The ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for own work.
• Strong project management skills to enable identification of required tasks and deadlines and planning and prioritisation of these tasks in an appropriate manner.
• Client-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with people at all levels and build relationships.
• The ability to work well under pressure.
• The ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
• The confidence to challenge the status-quo and provide fresh ideas.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel, Power BI, and other data management applications.
• Prior working experience for a professional services firm is a plus.
