Job Summary
This is a newly created role that will work as part of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the Direct Supply Chain (DSC). The DSC has been established as a function within KBS and delivers a holistic management of Supply – across Resourcing, Contingent Labour, and offshore resources. This is a critical role that will enhance the firm’s ability to forecast demand and make commercially considered resource allocations.

This is an opportunity to be an integral member of the DSC and will start by ensuring the control framework, and supporting DSC-owned processes and mechanisms, are compliant with regulatory requirements and standards, any industry or client-specific requirements, and KPMG’s internal policy driven requirements. The role will then own this framework, ensuring adherence to the controls implemented and compliance to support KPMGs mission to be the most trusted Professional Services firm.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Process Design and Optimisation
- Review the control frameworks across the DSC and ensure compliance against external regulation, any industry specific or client specific requirements, and external / internal standards related to DSC owned processes.
- Responsible for communicating compliance requirements to all the relevant DSC Leads, working closely with them to define then manage the necessary controls.
- Responsible for ensuring that all necessary controls are designed and implemented.
- Define the required compliance KPIs
- Manage the development of future compliance/policy programmes (and/or support wider DSC transformation programmes from a compliance lens), ensuring that the strategic objectives are met
- Responsible for streamlining process and procedures and identifying areas for improvement to ensure appropriate management of conflicts and continued compliance.
- Responsible for liaising with the relevant UK Risk stakeholders to ensure DSC compliance processes are consistent to the wider firm risk processes.
- Work with the ISQM1 Manager to ensure DSC operations and outputs meet the requisite control framework.
- Compliance Management
- Maintain a register of all external regulatory requirements, industry specific or client specific requirements and all internal compliance requirements including controls which are being put in place to meet those.
- Monitor the compliance related to the DSC with best practice, by way of internal controls, process optimisation, etc
- Keep abreast of changes in governance and regulation and bring these to the attention of the DSC Leadership team
- Maintain strong understanding of DSC systems, procedures, and processes.
- Control owner for internal controls to manage compliance risks
- Work closely with Internal Audit teams and support audits to test and monitor the compliance of DSC. Responsible for any remediation activities required following audits.
- Responsible for owning tools used for monitoring DSC compliance
- Performance manage the resource dedicated to ISQM compliance in Audit

Key Skills
- Strong understanding of external regulatory requirements and industry specific requirements/standards related to DSC processes and best practices to ensure compliance
- Strong level of understanding of DSC processes
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to develop relationships, collaborate with and influence people from all levels and areas in the organisation
- Experience inputting and responding to audits
- Experience of compliance and audit systems
- Commercial awareness and business acumen, with interest in understanding the latest regulations/standards, and industry trends
- Good communication and presentation skills; demonstrating impact both verbal as well as in written documentation
- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
