The Role

This is a leadership role within the UK marketing function to lead our Marketing Programmes & Delivery team within our Marketing Centre of Expertise (CoE), a core part of the firm’s Market Development function.
The Marketing Centre of Expertise brings together world-class marketing capabilities to deliver marketing programmes that help support our growth and trust strategy with clients. The CoE works across our business units as an integrated team to offer deep expertise around marketing disciplines, including campaign delivery, digital enablement, creative development, relationship programmes, brand management and marketing effectiveness.
Working closely with our Marketing Business Partners, the Marketing Programmes & Delivery team brings to life our marketing strategy and works across the CoE, and our Operational Effectiveness Hub (which is off-shore in India) as well as with external agency partners to design and deliver winning marketing programmes.
Acting as a strategic marketing leader with a in-depth knowledge of B2B marketing principles across the full range of activities across traditional and digital marketing channels.
This includes developing strategies, capabilities, processes and then supporting the team to deliver integrated campaigns (including ATL), demand generation, content marketing, account-based marketing and event experiences.
Leading and developing the team, the individual will come with deep marketing knowledge and be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with the Marketing Business Partners to ensure successful collaboration and effective development and deployment of marketing programmes.
Collaboration is at the heart of our operating model and, as a senior leader, this role holder will be key to ensure teams from across our Business Partners, Marketing Centre of Expertise and Operational Excellence Hub work together to plan and deliver world-class marketing for KPMG in the UK.

Role detail:
- Leads the successful day-to-day management operation of the Marketing Programmes & Delivery team and works to ensure effective collaboration across teams to deliver the UK Marketing plan.
- Creates and sustains a high performance culture of collaboration, creativity and commercial impact
- Manages risk and is highly sensitive to the need to achieve brand consistency as well as manage the regulatory and risk implications of our campaigns. As such you will be able to coach and support other members of the Marketing team and other individuals within KPMG.
- Maintains high levels of energy and drive in order to ensure projects are delivered in timely fashion with the maximum impact and feedback from the business.
- Helps drives the strategic direction of marketing within the team
- Drives excellence of delivery of marketing programmes and processes and evolve best practices and improvements to sustain world-class marketing capabilities
- Implement marketing effectiveness and budget management framework
- Contribute to effective content and digital strategy
- Manages conflict resolution, personal development and communication with fee-earners
- Maintains effective working relationships with senior stakeholders
- Support the Marketing Business Partners to provide account management and business partnering to stakeholders across the UK firm and in Global.
- Brings marketing best practice and resource requirements to the needs of the Business Partners.
- Ensure all marketing activity aligns with the firm’s overall priorities and delivers an integrated one-firm plan with positive ROI.
- Applies in-depth knowledge of our propositions with creativity and marketing expertise, particularly digital techniques, to drive the delivery of original, cutting-edge marketing programmes which command respect both within KPMG and in the wider market.
- Builds a collaborative culture and takes accountability of all campaigns being developed across the Marketing Delivery hub.
- Effectively operates while running multiple projects at once, striking a balance between getting sufficiently involved with the detail of campaigns as necessary whilst also maintaining a broad, strategic view.
- Work autonomously within the firm’s overall strategic priorities to implement initiatives.

- Demonstrates expertise in the following skills and experience:
- Successful track record in marketing strategy and planning process, managing budgets and engaging with the business to determining KPIs and the effectiveness of Marketing spend.
- Brand and value proposition development, demonstrating ideas for advancing the brand and, leading workshop sessions
- Marcomms: setting strategy across the business to ensure key messages and client issues are effectively presented. Adept at managing and translating complex issues for diverse audiences and will educate junior team and other KPMG people
- Ability to influence and gain buy-in from stakeholders, working to resolve any issues that may arise
- Influencing; persuasive at senior levels and able to resolve and overcome objections or conflicts.
- Identifies the strategic relevance and is able to effectively deliver a diverse range of programmes into revenue-generating or brand campaigns, driving the strategic aims of the business to deepen client relationships
- Deep understanding of business trends and issues to develop marketing capabilities which make a positive impact and add value to the business

- University degree or equivalent
- Professional marketing qualification (CIM) preferred
- Proven experience within professional services at a senior level preferred, or similar sized enterprise level organisation selling B2B service solutions.
- CRM systemsAdditional:
- Knowledge of the business, economic, political and social issues prevalent within the global market.
- ESG & Service Sector Marketing
- Big 4 experience strongly preferred
- Clear knowledge of KPMG’s brand proposition
