The DC team sits within KPMG’s broader Pensions practice and is a key growth area for the business as DC continues to dominate future benefit provision. We are looking to strengthen the team with the addition of a DC Consultant at Assistant Manager level.

The Responsibilities:

We are looking for individuals with good consulting skills, backed up with a commercial outlook and internal drive. The role will include:

• Acting as a point of contact for a range of clients
• Attending client meetings and delivering advice where appropriate
• Taking responsibility for drafting DC advice/reports
• Develop relationships both externally and internally across the wider business
• Offer support to the DC team in delivering a variety of projects within required timescales
• Demonstrate ability to understand and develop market knowledge around trends, developments and product innovation taking place in the market
• Proactively deal with queries from providers and clients over the telephone and email in a timely manner applying judgement as to when issues need to be escalated
• Take responsibility for drafting member communication materials working in conjunction with senior colleagues, clients, providers and other third parties
• Support pension provider reviews, analyse tender responses and draft high quality summaries and reports, to include - PowerPoint presentations where appropriate.
• Managing the work undertaken by junior members of the team
• Working with colleagues from the broader DC pensions team to ensure advice is provided in a joined up way

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant and varied experience working in the DC pensions industry
• Highly driven and focused
• Self-confident person with an understanding of how to present, debate and listen to both clients and colleagues
• Work cooperatively and can build positive, constructive business relationships.
• Be self -motivated and organises own workload to ensure effective delivery of engagements/project
• Take accountability for delivering high quality, accurate work
• Candidates will be working towards a relevant qualifications (e.g. CFA or CII)

Location:

KPMG’s DC team works across a number of locations around the country (London, Birmingham, Bristol, Reading, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow). Ideally the new assistant manager will be based in our Reading or Bristol office; however we will be flexible for the right candidate and are happy to discuss individual preferences
