Job Description

Within the overarching TS Group sits the TS Regions practice advising corporate’s, private equity houses and PLCs. Our team work closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory as well as Tax, Audit and other Advisory teams; it is a multi-disciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our One Firm agenda.

We have an immediate need for an Associate to join our team in Reading, to support the growth of our regions TS business. Whilst the team have a particular focus on the Technology, Retail, PE and Healthcare sectors, by the nature of our regions business this role will have the opportunity work on a wide range of deal types and sectors. It may also be necessary to work across the regional practice according to the needs of the business.

Role and Responsibilities
- Work as a key team member on large, complex assignments and smaller transactions with senior members, providing guidance to junior colleagues
- Assist senior team members to build and sustain client relationships and members of client pursuit teams for the benefit of the Firm
- Coach junior colleagues and actively assist in the development of others; including preparation and presentation of training sessions for new joiners and junior colleagues
- Manage, plan and organise work tasks, monitor progress and meet individual deadlines as well as upward management of senior colleagues to ensure appropriate reviews take place enabling completion of deliverables
- Assist with identification and management of risks and ensure the Firm's frameworks are implemented

Qualifications and Skills
- A recognised financial qualifications, ACA or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Personable approach to team work and client contact
- Ability to perform consistently at a high level under pressure
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions

Experience and Background
- Demonstrated experience of financial due diligence or aptitude and drive to develop the required transaction services skills
- Experience analysing and challenging client data and interacting with clients in person
- Ideally knowledge of working with mid-market clients in the South marketplace
- Established ability to give clear directions as well as positive and constructive feedback for junior colleagues
