The Role



The successful candidate will join our UK Infrastructure Government and Healthcare (IGH) Data Analytics Practice as a Lead Developer, working with our Solution Architects, focused on leading the technical development and delivery of our Healthcare Integrated Analytical Service solutions.. You will hands on day-to-day lead for technical development, covering coding, technical development and implementation, ensuring solutions are developed in accordance with client specifications. You will also contribute to the successful delivery of other KPMG services across the public sector while establishing a core set of analytics product services of your own related to health and care



You will manage teams of KPMG developers and technical professionals on and off engagements, providing leadership and coaching to ensure excellent product delivery whilst enabling their future development.



You will have significant and proven experience in managing technical development and build of digital and data solutions end-to-end, particularly within the healthcare and acute hospital provider arena. This will include experience engaging senior technical and non-technical stakeholders and managing complex projects and programmes with multiple work streams. You will have an established reputation as a technical expert, demonstrating the ability to inspire confidence in colleagues and clients alike.



You will drive the development of solutions in line with our core services which include:



Data Modelling and Analytics



- Interactive data visualisation, presentation and reporting





- Dashboard development, publishing and maintenance








- Advanced analytics including exploiting modern data science techniques like machine learning and applied statistics to extract valuable data driven insights








- Cloud-enabled analytical services








- Requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement








- Agile analytics project management and delivery








- Development and delivery of training in visual analytics solutions







Data analytics strategy design and implementation



- Developing and delivering data strategy, data operating model, data governance or data maturity programmes for public sector clients




- Supporting the implementation of data strategy and digital transformation programmes and initiatives






Business and data modelling



- Data blending and database development





- Cost benefit analysis and financial modelling








- Modelling the impacts of business change, including options analysis, cost optimisation, outsourcing and other operational and financial restructuring








- Transaction modelling (mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, refinancing, bids and bid defence)








- Management and KPI reporting solutions








- Model build and assurance







We work closely with teams across all functions within KPMG, such as Operational Transformation, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Restructuring and others. Responsibilities







We are looking for a Manager to help lead work in our rapidly-growing team with strong technical expertise in data visualisation, analytics, and data modelling. The individual should have a proven track record in leading data analytics projects in Hospitals/Acute Care Providers and have exceptional communication and presentation skills.







The Manager will lead projects in the following areas:



- Interactive data visualisation, presentation and reporting





- Dashboard development, publishing and maintenance








- Cloud-enabled analytical services








- Requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement








- Rapid proof of concept development








- Cost benefit analysis and financial modelling








- Development and delivery of training for visual analytic solutions








- Coding – SQL, Python, R








- ETL, data blending and database development








- Relational and star schema data modelling







This role offers the candidate the opportunity to develop and share their extensive knowledge and experience of sophisticated data management and visual analytics techniques, as well as developing client-facing, project management and consulting skills. The roles require working to tight deadlines, prioritising workload, project management and providing a high level of client service at all times. The candidate will be expected to show clear leadership capability with a track record of developing and coaching people to deliver complex analytics projects.







Experience:



We would expect that prospective Integrated Care Analytics Services Technical Architect would have most of the following experiences or skills:







Core Skills







- Experience of supporting the development and implementation of Health and Social Care digital and data solutions.





- A numerate (computer science or maths-based) degree








- Excellent communication skills with proven experience of having engaged with clients at a senior and technical level, to include operational managers, IT and Informatics technical leads and clinical and nursing staff.








- Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft BI technology stack, including SQL Server, SQL SSIS, MS Power Query, MS Power Pivot, MS Power BI








- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and data visualisation best practice








- Thorough understanding of best-practice approaches to the development of data models in Excel, Access and SQL (“our modelling tools”)








- Proven expertise in delivering best-practice data visualisations and interactive dashboards








- Thorough experience of incorporating business processes and user requirements into dashboards with a consistent workflow and/or actionable insight








- Experience of taking a lead role within a team that has delivered data analytics solutions








- The ability to manage time and work independently with multiple stakeholders








- Strong enthusiasm for solving complex problems with our modelling tools with a demonstrable ability to efficiently build solutions that adhere to best practice
