The Team
The Debt Advisory team is seeking a strong Manager to support its growing national business. The successful candidate will be expected to work across a broad range of debt products and markets. The team is currently advising a range of listed and private companies on high profile debt finance transactions.
Given the role will support the national business, there is flexibility as to the candidate’s base office.

Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for delivering work streams on client engagements and take a proactive business development role.
The candidate will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Seizes Business Opportunities: Build strong relationships with clients, develop and grow internal and external networks and take a lead initial drafting of proposals, professional articles or marketing materials with a focus on winning work or enhancing the firm’s reputation
- Demonstrates Curiosity and Innovation: Show real interest and desire to understand clients, market features and technical aspects while providing input into designing/implementing solutions alongside senior colleagues
- Drives Collaboration and Inclusion: Actively develop, mentor and coach team members by demonstrating appropriate behaviour and delegate where appropriate
- Strives for Continual Improvement: Identify areas for development and proactively seek opportunities for greater responsibility to increase skill set and build on existing strengths
- Delivers Quality: Enhance KPMG's reputation in the market by delivering high quality engagement work and project management, showing high attention to detail and managing risk at all times
- Exercises Professional Judgement: Set up procedures to monitor work progress, quality and cost against budget, while consulting widely on engagements and other matters

- Strongly rated self-starter who demonstrates initiative, confidence to efficiently work with clients and other stakeholders
- Strong quantitative and Excel skills, preferably with a track record of developing and operating financial models, and the ability to translate quantitative analysis to qualitative advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills and demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work, potentially within tight timescales
- Exceptional people skills and ability to mentor and develop more junior colleagues

To succeed in this varied and demanding role you will need to demonstrate the following experience:
- ACA, ACT, CFA or similar professional qualification preferred
- Strong academic background
- Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to deliver high quality presentations and analysis
- Commitment to high quality standards & detail oriented
- Personal drive to deliver results within tight deadlines
- Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with colleagues and clients alike
- Proven understanding and experience of the UK debt markets with relevant experience in banking, lending and/or debt advisory
- Track record of building and maintaining lasting internal and external relationships
