The Global Entity Management Team sits within Legal Services, KPMG Tax. Its establishment flows naturally from KPMG’s long history of successfully delivering multidisciplinary services to clients. Its vision is to be the corporate secretarial adviser of choice for KPMG’s clients in relation to compliance and governance matters.

Over the next few years, this team will grow and Legal Services as a whole will expand into other areas of law that fit within its vision and the needs of KPMG’s clients.

What the key responsibilities of the role are:

- Managing our core annual service and ad hoc support services for a broad portfolio of clients, with the supervision of a senior member of the team
- Acting as relationship manager for your portfolio of clients, including regular communications, hosting update calls/meetings and obtaining/reviewing feedback for improvement in services
- Assisting with annual filing requirements on behalf of clients, including both the preparation and filing of documents with the registrar
- Assisting with the preparation of legal documentation and Companies House forms and subsequent register updates for routine company changes
- Processing new company incorporation requests electronically through our specialist software, as well as supporting junior members of the team with this process
- Supporting clients and internal colleagues with complex company secretarial matters, including changes to share capital structure, share capital reductions, dividends and company restorations
- Working alongside our corporate legal teams to support with the corporate secretarial aspects of complex corporate transactions
- Providing board and committee support to clients from a wide range of sectors, including the use of board portal systems
- Supporting senior colleagues on a wide range of governance and advisory projects, for example, framework and process reviews or drafting s172 statements for clients annual reports and accounts
- Drafting and inputting on legislative and governance related updates to be circulated to clients and internal colleagues
- Partaking in business development opportunities where they arise, to encourage new business
- Assisting with administrative tasks, including maintenance of our specialist software, managing client on-boarding procedures, financial reporting, etc.
- Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues and peers
- Ensure strong working relationships, both with clients and colleagues alike

Education and qualifications:

- The applicant will have achieved a 2:1 or higher degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant degree discipline, such as Accounting, Business or Law.

- Qualified or part-qualified towards the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme with the ICSA

Skills and Experience Required:

- Strong, demonstrable experience in the company secretarial profession, supporting a portfolio of clients
Ideally experienced in the use of Diligent software and other legal entity databases
- The applicant will have good working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organisational, attention to detail and personal skills are essential.
