This is an area intensely scrutinised by tax authorities, governments and the media worldwide due to public concerns on large companies shifting profits abroad and seeking to avoid paying tax. The practice has a diverse mix of tax professionals, accountants and economists with backgrounds from industry, practice and tax authorities.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

KPMG's Transfer Pricing (TP) practice is a dynamic and successful area of our business. A constantly changing and increasingly high-profile field, TP can offer a broad range of quality career paths to ambitious people. Our Transfer Pricing practice is broad encompassing a wide range of client propositions, but this role is to mainly focus on our growing large corporates segment.

We are currently recruiting for a Director to join our successful team to drive the growth and relationships with our major clients.

The Role:

This role is primarily a transfer pricing role but also potentially will combine aspects of corporate tax, tax value chain and business advisory and is ideally suited to a candidate looking for a wide ranging and challenging role that involves advising clients at the highest level.

You will be required to do the following:

- Be market facing with allocated clients and target organisations.
- Hold and control high level conversations with senior stakeholders in the markets and be capable of introducing relevant specialists from across the firm.
- Lead by example with client relationships, technical quality and service delivery
- Actively promote team and personal profile to internal networks in order to promote collaboration and increase internal leads.
- Take a lead on design and delivery of proposals for new business opportunities.
- Play a key role in people development activities (coaching / mentoring) for less experienced team members
- Identify key client issues that represent opportunities for other KPMG teams to capitalise on and play active role in introductions.
- B e a technical leader for TP business proposition, keeping abreast of changes in UK law and practice in these areas; and law and practice for key trading partner countries of the UK.
- Provide thought leadership both internally and externally.
- Be knowledgeable and insightful about industry trends within our large corporate client base and how this industry knowledge can be leverage in terms of TP business proposition.

Experience and Background

- Have significant experience operating within a Transfer Pricing and Tax Value Chain team within a global consultancy firm.
- Demonstrate a successful track record of new business origination within Transfer Pricing projects through both internal and external activities.
- Display technical strength in our specialist markets across sectors within the FTSE 100.
- Have experience developing and analysing Tax Value Chains as well as designing operational models
- Have a proven track record of transfer pricing project management, including TP Documentation, BEPS analysis, IP structure and financial modelling.
- Provide notable evidence of training and mentoring a team.
- Have experience operating within a transfer pricing team both in the UK and another country (namely Russia, US, EU).
- Have a proven track record with working on HMRC enquiries.
- Have obtained a relevant international tax qualification such as ADIT, CTA or ACA.
- Displays an inclusive, collaborative approach and operates in an inspirational & respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community.
- Has experience bringing insight and effectively applying knowledge to business and client problems.
- Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear.
