Tax Assistant Manager - Global Mobility Services, FS, London

Core Responsibilities

• Assisting engagement managers with the day to day global coordination and/or UK service delivery of client engagements (dependent on the client portfolio).
• Assisting with UK tax compliance and working closely with the KPMG Centre of Excellence to deliver on all aspects of assignee compliance.
• Review of tax returns and preparation of income tax/NIC calculations.
• Being the day to day contact for allocated clients.
• Building and maintaining good relationships with clients.
• Building and developing positive constructive relationships within KPMG UK and the KPMG network.
• Assessing problems from multiple angles to ensure all relevant issues are considered when making decisions.
• Preparation of written UK tax technical advice for clients and helping to advise clients on GMS issues.
• Conducting arrival and departure briefings.
• Project management of global advisory projects for clients, covering tax, social security, process, policy and efficiencies.
• Updating clients on GMS developments.
• Managing and coaching junior team members.
• Assisting engagement managers with financial management of clients.
• Participating in proposals/business development.

Experience and Background

• Min. 3 years’ experience working in expatriate/global mobility tax services in Big 4 or equivalent.
• Prior experience in an in-house Global Mobility / HR team or working overseas would be beneficial but is not required.

Qualifications and Skills

• ACA/ATT qualified or equivalent preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are preferred.
• Microsoft Power BI experience for reporting is welcome but not essential.
