Role Overview

The Talent Acquisition (TA) teams in KPMG are responsible for leading and delivering the Firm’s recruitment strategy, attracting and hiring high calibre diverse talent into the firm. Our aim is to ensure that KPMG is a “magnet for talent”. TA teams include TA Business Partners, the Brand Centre of Expertise, and the TA Delivery team that sits in the OEH.

Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, the Consulting Business Partner is responsible for leading the development of recruitment strategy for Consulting, managing the recruitment of Partners into Consulting and holding the TA delivery teams in the OEH and RPOs accountable for meeting the recruitment needs of the Consulting business.

They are the primary point of contact for senior business stakeholders.

Deliverables and Accountability:

Recruitment Strategy:


• Ownership of strategic relationship with key business stakeholders: to understand the people aspects of their business strategy in order to build the recruitment strategy
• Responsible for building an achievable strategy for timely and cost effective delivery of resource from the highest quality and most diverse talent pools
• Accountable for socialising pertinent MI and market insights to inform business decisions
• Consistent communication and re-enforcement of key messages e.g. D&I, with the Capability leadership and other stakeholders
• Brief TA delivery teams and RPOs on Consulting recruitment needs
• Works in partnership with interdependent stakeholders to deliver a joined up approach to recruitment – namely, the Recruitment delivery team, RPO providers, HR Leads, IDSE, Partner Matters and Recruitment Brand & Attraction teams
• Develops external profile to offer thought leadership, gather market knowledge around competitor activity & industry trends, and share this information appropriately
• Acts as ambassador for KPMG through effective networking and social media

Recruitment Delivery

• Works closely with key stakeholders to agree a service delivery framework against which the team will be measured
• Personally manages delivery of end to end Partner recruitment into Consulting including:
o Taking the business brief and ensuring robust business case with appropriate approvals
o Developing and implementing sourcing strategy (including briefing agencies and/or carrying out direct sourcing activities)
o Candidate management throughout the process
o Working with Recruitment delivery team to set up interviews and panels
o Offer management (seeking business approvals, making verbal offers and completing documentation required by delivery team to enable contracts)
• Drives commitment to meeting diversity targets and delivering high quality candidate experience including robust and efficient selection methodologies

Essential skills

• Deep recruitment expertise: preferably gained within an in house professional services team
• Strong market knowledge with experience of working in Consulting
• Excellent communication skills: High impact persuasive communicator who can successfully manage a diverse group of senior stakeholders often with conflicting requirements
• Collaborative leader: including driving inclusion, leading by example, seeking continuous improvement from self and others and holding others accountable for performance
• Flexible and resilient: demonstrates innovation in approach to problem solving and delivering service; able to adapt to an ever changing landscape, responding to commercial and compliance needs whilst driving for continuous improvement

• Based in London, or in a regional office with ability to work in London as required.
