Job Summary

As a Supply Business Partner, you will be responsible for demand prioritisation across onshore, contingent workforce and offshore resources. You will partner with Capability leadership teams to build capability and ensure the business achieves the most commercially appropriate workforce mix.

You will be a key escalation point for the business and will help shape the workforce to meet client demands.

This role provides a unique perspective on key operations of the business with the ability to directly impact profitability through proactive management of demand and supply.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Strategic Partnering

- Advise on optimised source of workforce to meet the commercial and quality metrics for the business/engagement
- Operationalise the strategic workforce plan to deliver the target workforce mix and leverage across all resource channels (permanent, contractor, offshore, outsourced)
- Provide data driven insight to the business unit to support forward demand and supply decision. I.e., Utilisation, chargeability, pipeline value and velocity, future resource requirements
- Identify future skills gaps and work with stakeholders to identify the most appropriate source of workforce for the engagement.
- Work with colleagues in recruitment and HR to identify opportunities for upskilling and development.
- Driving the use of offshore/nearshore to meet budget and improve profitability and efficiency, as appropriate
- Lead on the staffing of large / complex engagements requiring resources from within or across capabilities

Demand management

- Leading on Resourcing demand for a specific client-facing capability (i.e., Consulting, and Deal Advisory) and its performance group(s)
- Ensuring best fit solution for resourcing needs: mix of KPMG, associates (contractors), offshore, and 3rd Party

Alliance resources

- Managing pipeline prioritisation, e.g.:
o Liaising with key business stakeholders (HOPOs, Lead Partners, etc) prioritising Resource requirements to support
key engagements
o Reviewing of size, scale, engagement profitability, strategic importance of job and knowledge of business area to prioritise
o Challenging of requirements/skillsets and win probabilities to ensure appropriate prioritisation
o Managing a clear prioritisation route of non-chargeable work
- Contributing to pipeline meetings and Deal Boards to gain insight into business strategy, pipeline, priorities, key propositions, and blue-sky work
- Working closely with the OEH resourcing team and the respective HOPO to drive utilisation across Capability
- Validating of requirements/skillsets to ensure the business have provided sufficient information to be able to act on demand requests
- Responsible for ensuring demand requirements are clear for the Operational Excellence Hub team to be able to then supply the resources
- Continuously maintaining a view of availability and utilisation levels within performance group(s) and across capability, for both onshore and offshore
- Continuously maintaining a view on overall availability of performance group’s supply, across resource types onshore/offshore/contractor, working closely with the Operational Excellence Hub’s Resourcing Advisors and the Contingent Workers team.

Escalations management

- Acting as the main escalation point for Performance Group/Service Line and wider stakeholders
- Working closely with the Resourcing Operational Excellence Hub’s onshore and offshore teams to drive collaborative and efficient ways of working
- Responsible for ensuring the business understands appropriate escalation routes, and that these are managed closely as they arise
- Applies judgement throughout the Resourcing process and interactions with the business, including resolution of escalations

Stakeholder management

- Supporting the Capability Direct Supply Chain Led to understand and present current Supply landscape, its pipeline, and any challenges.
- Responsible for regular and ad-hoc reporting to team stakeholders (e.g., Performance Group Leaders, Performance Leaders, etc) and the business generally, on capability-specific Supply landscape and pipeline
- Responsible for working and collaborating with other Supply Business Partners across the business to ensure consistency is applied on Supply approach where appropriate, and that capability-specific learnings and decisions are shared for continuous knowledge transfers.
- Responsible for providing robust challenge to the business. For example:
o Challenging instances where resources are being ring-fenced or deployed to less profitable engagements
o Driving cross firm lending and borrowing
- Reviewing resourcing requests against budget and challenging as appropriate
