Job DescriptionRole Summary

The Source Technology Architect is a key member of the Global Source Leadership Team owning the strategic technology roadmap for Source. The Architect ensures we evolve the platform and enable Source through a portfolio of leading-edge tools to meet existing and new business requirements including enabling the development and evolution of our priority Global Client Solutions in Advisory.
The role will:
- Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements and understand industry trends and technology to ensure that we are enabling Source using leading edge tools to meet current and future business requirements
- Work with a blended team of professionals from Advisory, ITS Global, KGS and our external service providers to design, deliver and enhance the technology enabling Source
- Be accountable for the overall technology landscape of the Source Portfolio including application review and selection, and the business architecture review process for Source
- Along with the Source Project Delivery Lead and Infrastructure & Operations Lead, work with the Global Information Protection Group (IPG), Global Advisory Risk Management, member firms’ National IT Security Offices (NITSO), Privacy and Risk professionals for all platform security risks and issues to ensure the platform meets KPMG requirements. Work with vendors and ITSG to drive solutions
- Design and architect major strategic investment projects for the Source platform, from development of initial investment requests with Source leadership through to execution.
- Coordinate with other KPMG technology/solutions teams to identify synergies and opportunities to align priorities design opportunities and participate in architecture and advisory technology committees as required
- Identify areas of opportunity to address issues and improve quality, in particular around technology operations and technical and functional support
- Actively champion and role model the use of Source and represent Source as required
- Be an active member of the Source Leadership team driving the continued evolution of Source

Key Accountabilities
40-50% - Ensure Source technology effectively enables our priority Global Client Solutions
- Work with Global Client Solutions teams to identify and articulate new business requirements
- Design and architect projects for the Source platform to meet the business requirements through evolution of existing technologies and/ or implementation of new technologies, including application review and selection and development of investment requests
- Work with Source Product Teams, technical teams and run & maintain teams as well as with wider stakeholders across ITS, vendors etc. to execute projects roadmap and transition into run & maintain -
Understand technology trends and evolution of our solutions to ensure Source technology portfolio provides leading edge enablers
30-40% - Drive continuous improvement of the Source tools portfolio to drive performance, cost efficiency and ensure compliance
- Identify areas of opportunity to address issues and improve functionality & performance and drive cost effectiveness, in our application portfolio, technology operations and technical and functional support
- Work with the team to execute on the continuous improvement opportunities and realise the value
- Work with the Global Information Protection Group (IPG), Global Advisory Risk Management, Member Firm National IT Security, Privacy and Risk professionals for all platform security risks and issues to ensure the platform meets KPMG requirements. Work with vendors and ITSG to drive solutions as required
10-20% - Ensure Source roadmap aligns with the overall technology strategy for the firm and ensure Source is appropriately represented in technology committees and forums with KPMG
- Provide Source representation in appropriate technology forums and committees
- Work with other technology teams across KPMG to understand and align roadmaps and identify synergies and opportunities
5% -Provide expertise to support resolution of issues within the technology portfolio

Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of solutions development lifecycle
- Knowledge of Atlassian and Microsoft collaboration platforms
- Technology experience, including infrastructure (data centers) and IaaS (Azure), content and collaboration platforms, IT risk and security, IT operations / IT service management
- Bachelor’s degree at a minimum
- TOGAF Certification an advantage
- Atlassian certification preferred
- Project/ program management qualification useful not essential

Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum seven years as an Business Architect, with a focus on large transformational programs, consulting experience is preferred
- Client delivery experience within KPMG and experience leading and managing projects
- Understanding and knowledge of Source products and tools
- Technology experience, including infrastructure (data centers) and IaaS (Azure), content and collaboration platforms, IT risk and security, IT operations / IT service management
- Deep knowledge and experience of technology enabled collaboration solutions e.g. Atlassian, Microsoft, Slack etc
- Experience working in Agile programs and development environments
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to engage effectively with business stakeholder as well as technology groups
- Self-motivated and comfortable working as part of a global team and leading virtual teams from across different functions
