We are looking for a GMS Senior Manager to work in the People Services US team working on a portfolio of various clients and individuals.



Role and Responsibilities

Being a People Services ambassador across the wider National GMS team

Advising clients on a broad range of US cross-border income tax, social security, payroll compliance and tax equalisation issues in respect of domestic and globally mobile employees

Successfully identifying and pursuing People Services business development opportunities. Ensuring that the knowledge and experience gained on clients is successfully disseminated across the practice and is also used to secure advisory work/projects from other clients

Participating in internal and external seminars and workshops

Being available as a US tax technical resource across the firm

Building and maintaining relationships with senior HR, Tax and Finance personnel within client organisations

Coaching and mentoring junior team members, with a keen eye on career development, and technical progression

Being involved in recruitment and succession planning across the US team

Working closely with senior members of the People Services GMS practice across the UK



Qualifications and Skills

US CPA qualified or IRS Enrolled Agent as a minimum



Experience and Background

Significant US expatriate tax experience required and evidence of delivery of US individual expatriate compliance at the signing level.

Solid experience working in US expatriate tax services, including tax equalisation, arrival/departure briefings and advisory projects

Experience of managing global assignee populations and experience of immigration, social security and compensation accumulation for different countries

Strong track record in building relationships

Experience of business development to expand services with clients and individuals

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under own initiative

Capable of working to deadlines, showing resilience under pressure and an ability to apply knowledge to non-routine situations

Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work

Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information

Demonstrates sound professional judgement including the ability to identify issues/concerns and consult where appropriate

Flexible, positive outlook with a commitment to team working
