The Role

You will be a Senior Manager within our Transformation Services service Line and aligned to our Private Assets Practice (part of WAM Consulting) and will be helping both grow our business and ensure our teams deliver high quality advice to clients. You should expect to be involved in a wide range of challenging client engagements across the Private Assets and Alternatives space working on projects related to Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity and Private Debt. As a Senior Manager you will be expected to lead the delivery of client projects, manage engagements and be the day to day KPMG contact for client and KPMG teams. It is also expected that you will lead and manage junior resources and KPMG teams as part of project delivery.
As a Senior Manager you will also be expected to support the lead Partner with business development activities such as proposals, pitches and development of the WAM Private Assets proposition. As a Senior Manager you will be expected to lead on proposals and RFP responses with the support of other members of the team.
In addition to supporting the build out of the client proposition for Private Assets, you will also be expected to support the development of the practice in a broader sense, such as through the development and nurturing of junior talent, training, internal communications and contribution to the positive culture and supportive working environment.

The successful candidate is expected to have the following responsibilities:
Engagement delivery:
• Understanding the industry context, their business challenges, the opportunities and the threats our clients face
• Helping clients navigate the increasingly complex technology and data landscape including vendors in the market
• Supporting with the definition of new operating models for both new entrants and existing private assets businesses
• Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as managing the performance and development of other team members
• Building and managing multiple client relationships and often managing concurrent engagements and business development activity
• Project managing engagements to deliver high quality work in a timely manner to include scoping / financial management (budgeting) / engagement and risk management / production and review of deliverables.
Business Development:
• Fee generation through actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal development and client presentations.
Practice Development:
• Contributing to practice management, e.g. knowledge sharing, training, proposition development, and knowledge management.
• Contributing to the development of our thought-leadership content and associated Marketing Campaigns
Engagement & Risk management:
• Identifying and managing delivery and financial risks across projects, engagement assurance and commercial risk management and ensuring the Firm's frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively

We expect that you will have:
• Significant professional experience in either consulting or asset management
• Strong experience in Real Estate, Infra or PE or Private Debt – either from within a fund manager, a fund administrator or another management consultancy
• Good understanding of the operational and technological challenges associated with Private Assets businesses
• A track record within the Wealth & Asset Management industry with a sound understanding of the industry trends, key themes and challenges
• Proven expertise in Project Management and delivery of projects on time, within scope and of high quality
• Proven ability to analyse problems, identify core issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Proven ability to lead work at sustained levels of high intensity and inspire drive and confidence in others.
• Proven ability in taking appropriate action after monitoring/reviewing the progress and performance of others
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), negotiation and project management skills
• An ability to develop and manage excellent relationships both internally and with clients at a senior level
• A genuine interest and desire to work in the Private Assets sector and a strong desire to develop knowledge and skill sets
• An ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment which respects and recognises all members of the team
• Industry qualifications preferred (e.g. CFA, IMC, CAIA)
The base location is London although flexible and agile working is supported and encouraged. Travel within the UK is however an essential part of the role due to the nature of the projects.
