Senior Manager - Data (Advisory)

Our Financial Services Data and Analytics team sits within KPMG’s Digital Lighthouse and enables our Financial Services clients to optimise the use of their data to deliver on their business strategy.

As a Senior Manager, you will be joining a collaborative and energetic team that covers a broad range of data capabilities including data visualisation, data management, data migration, data architecture, data integration and data modelling.

You will have the opportunity to work across all our capabilities but will specialise as an SME with a focus on Third Party Data and KPMG’s Signals Repository. The Signals Repository is KPMG’s strategic platform for identifying and innovating with new external and third party datasets.

We are looking for a proactive individual who is passionate about data, working with clients, has a thirst to learn and is excited to pursue a career in consulting and supporting us in growing our team.

The Person


Data and Analytics team is dynamic and growing at a fast pace, so we are seeking individuals with high energy who can cover a vast range of data work, inspire change and make an impact within the team and client organisation. Whilst prior consulting experience is not essential, we are looking for individuals that can demonstrate the following:

- The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a third party data provider.

- The candidate will be expected to build and maintain relationships with key third party data providers/vendors. This will include a proportion of time spent hunting for, and developing, new data sources.

- An up-to-date view of industry trends, regulations, tools and technology in either Banking and/or Insurance.

- The ability to build constructive working relationships both within KPMG and across client organisations, actively building a network and range of experiences to help address client needs.

- Experience working with subject matter experts and project teams to define, document and communicate data requirements.

- A proven track record of working with stakeholders to assess scope of work, developing business cases for data change and delivering benefits by leveraging industry insights.

- Experience in developing and/or executing a data solution with minimum supervision (from strategy and scoping through to implementation and execution) and presenting this to a client.

- Good understanding of Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and Google.

- The ability to support winning new business through the development of client relationships and bid responses.

- Supports the growth of the practice through driving internal initiatives, coaching and developing junior colleagues where required.
