Forensic - Using specialist accounting, investigation and business skills in assisting clients involved in commercial or regulatory disputes or in the investigation of fraud and impropriety. Working in the team will mean getting involved in a broad range of projects, i.e. Fraud investigations, and tracing assets.

Job DescriptionThe Team

The DAS team has the experience and expertise to provide both dispute advice and independent expert witness services across many of our key industry sectors, working with subject matter experts from across KPMG where appropriate.

This is profitable and high profile work which usually focuses on the accounting, auditing and quantification aspects of commercial disputes arising from a variety of contracts and torts, frauds, and regulatory challenges.

The Role

The Senior Manager role that we are seeking to fill would have the following characteristics:

- Delivery of project work, both in the UK and, occasionally, abroad.
- Managing junior staff on project assignments
- Preparation of reports for partner/director review
- Ability to act as engagement manager with an understanding of contracting, risk and billing.
- Build own network of appropriate level client contacts, particularly within law firms and support more senior business development effort
- Ability to sell the firm through drafting proposals etc

The Person

Qualifications and Skills

- ACA (or equivalent)
- Good general accounting skills and knowledge
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience of valuations and loss of profit calculations
- Strong written, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels with clients, lawyers and other stakeholders.
- At least 4 years experience of Forensic work, preferably in disputes.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Commercial awareness.
- Mobility / flexibility - whilst you would be based in London, our work can require mobility and flexibility.
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages an advantage but not essential
- Experience of the International Arbitration process an advantage but not essential
