Bringing together communications, public affairs and ESG professionals, we understand the external and internal environment and provide fact-based insights to help the business take the right actions and engage proactively with the right people.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work as part of KPMG’s international organization, building relationships with senior stakeholders throughout Europe, Middle East, and Africa (the EMA Region). EMA is the largest and most complex of the regions in KPMG, comprising approximately 100 countries with FY19 revenues of $13 billion and 110,000 people.

Role Summary

- Support the build, and execute on, an EMA wide Corporate Affairs plan, which leverages from our Global Corporate Affairs strategy, thereby helping to shape, promote and protect the reputation of KPMG.
- Build an early warning system for issues related activity in the EMA region and, with our Global Issues and Media Relations Lead, and provide counsel and support if those issues materialise, particularly in those situations where there are cross-border implications or where member firms do not have the expertise to respond on their own.
- Work with Global and EMA Leadership to build capability, capacity and reach in Corporate Affairs across the region, with particular emphasis on Public Affairs, Communications and our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda.
- Lead and execute leadership communications for the EMA Chairman and EMA COO.
- Manage a Corporate Affairs network across the EMA region, working closely with Country Senior Partners and Country Heads of Corporate Affairs, Communications, ESG and Public Affairs.
- Work with the Clients and Markets team to drive impactful go-to-market campaigns, including 360-degree regional launch activity for flagship Global Communication programs.
- Help elevate regional success stories to global attention, bringing our Global Strategy to life through powerful and creative storytelling.
- Measure the impact of Corporate Affairs in the EMA region, benchmarking performance against Global KPIs.

Experience & Knowledge

- Proven track record in Communications, with extensive experience in Issues Management
- Knowledge of Public Affairs and ESG
- Strong and proven relationship building skills, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Experience of working in a complex international or diverse cross-cultural environment.
- Have an eye for the detail, whilst maintaining an ability to understand the bigger strategic picture.
- Strong influencing skills, with an ability to articulate clear, compelling ideas and to persuade others to take action.
