Job Description
The Data Insight Services team sits within KPMG Risk Consulting Technology function and is a facility that brings together analytics specialists, hardware and software to provide a unique facility that allows customers to commission one-off pieces of analytics work, proofs of concept or on going data oriented managed services. It represents a critical component to KPMG's growth strategy and is where much of the innovative early thinking takes place on fraud detection and other data driven projects.

The successful candidate will perform a client delivery focused role, which involves leading a team of data analysts in the management, manipulation and analysis of data to extract the necessary intelligence from the related data assets. The candidate will be involved in a wide range of regulatory and forensic investigation type projects with a particular focus on the support of securities and corporate fraud investigations.


• Responsible for the analytical solution of securities, corporate fraud investigations and subsequent remediation activities;
- Managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, and testing;
- Pro-actively driving forward new and creative ideas and analytical solutions which benefit the client;
- Developing internal networks and maintaining relationships with colleagues across other teams within KPMG; and
- Building relationships and managing client stakeholder/relationships on projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

This exciting role will fully utilize the candidates programming, data analysis and data management skills. Strong technical skills are essential, as candidates will be expected to develop solutions either individually or as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a number of the following skill sets and experience:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identifying patterns within data to generate business insight;
- Track record for quantitative, analytical and problem-solving capabilities preferably in financial services;
- Significant experience with either of the following data manipulation software: Teradata SQL (Oracle/SQL Server) or SAS;
- Advanced data manipulation skills - manipulating and clean large data tables to ensure that data meets standards and objectives;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills; and
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience.

Experience and Background:

- Working in a fast-paced analytics environment preferably in professional services, banking or insurance;
- Proven experience in the life cycle of investigative and remediation type projects including root cause analysis, solution design, building financial calculators and performing impact analysis; and
- Tenacious problem solving attitude, particularly when helping clients obtain the data required.
