The Role:This

role
is
primarily
an SME
role
focussing
on the
impact
of regulatory change on bank
business
models
and supporting banks with designing and implementing solutions.






While the role will be focussed on regulatory and risk management matters, individuals are expected to be involved in wider

risk and capital
related engagements.






As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for management

and delivery

of individual
work
streams including managing and developing junior team members. In addition, you will be expected to support internal business development activities and client relationship development.






The role

will require
working
with senior internal stakeholders and senior
external stakeholders across various functions including Front
Office
Trading,
Risk, Product
Control and Technology, for example.






The individual will need to
be

proactive
in keeping
abreast of regulatory
expectations
and industry
practices.







The individual will also be required to apply their skills to a broad range of banking risk related issues supporting both regional and national propositions.






The individual will also be expected to work independently and be able to manage teams when delivery a range of projects.







Qualifications

& Skills:




Deep regulatory knowledge

applicable to market
risk and capital markets are
mandatory (e.g.
Dodd-Franck, SOX, CCAR, FRTB, Basel, PRA, ECB, etc.).






Ability to balance risk governance experience within the consulting environment, adapt to different risk topics and have a commercial mind-set to contribute to the growth of the business.







Proven

ability
of effectively
delivering
risk governance
related projects.







Detailed working knowledge and experience of all aspects of development of risk frameworks including the following:







Risk management principles embedded in key policies and standards







Risk appetite statements







Model risk measurement and management







Governing bodies and committees







Regulatory oversight/reporting







Local/regional regulation distinctions







Technological implications and solutions (optional but highly beneficial)







Excellent documentation skills (e.g. policies and standards).







Ability

to communicate
with and
challenge
senior
management (Front
Office,
Risk, Product
Control and Technology)
on a range
of risk governance
topics.







Proven

ability
to work
within
a team
environment and experience of managing/developing junior colleagues.







Excellent

communication skills (

oral and
written),
planning,
project
management,

across
the UK (and internationally)
where
required.





Experience and Background:




Experience

of delivering
major
regulatory
change
programmes.





Strong

understanding

of regulatory
reforms
impacting financial institutions
(e.g.
FRTB).





Detailed

knowledge

of the front-to-back
operations
of an investment bank
.






Experience

of risk
management within investment banking and project
management
skills.





Experience in development of documentation of coherent risk management frameworks.



Familiarity with relevant technology developments and solutions.
