The Role

1. Summary of Role Purpose:
KPMG’s success is directly linked to the strength and breadth of our relationships with current and future key decision makers.

To support this, KPMG International is launching a new market-facing relationship program which will build relationships with current and future Global Heads of Tax. This is an ambitious ‘brand stretching’ program and a ‘first’ for this key audience.

The T-Suite Program Director will play a pivotal role within the Global Tax & Legal team and is responsible for developing and delivering this program. The successful candidate will need to build a new team and work closely with support teams from across our member firm network and the Global Tax & Legal function.

Initially the focus will be to launch the program with impact, and then to build ongoing momentum and engagement globally.

This role is both client and internal facing. The job holder will have a direct client facing role in delivering the T-Suite Leadership Program.

2. Description of the role:
- Ensure that the program provides direct value to internal and external clients, contributes to growth, and reinforces and stretches the KPMG brand in the market.
- Ensure focus on senior clients for our most important global accounts and take a direct role in delivery and client relationship development aspects of the program.
- Direct responsibility for scope, delivery, content, and delegate experience of the T-Suite Leadership Program and leads a vibrant Delegate 4 Life community and events.
- Development of a broad ecosystem of cutting-edge contributors from within and outside KPMG to ensure the program remains stretching and speakers/contributors are first-class.
- Be an ambassador for the T-Suite Leadership Program internally across senior leadership / Client Lead Partners and externally with participating (or potential) organisations.
- Continue to evolve, expand, and promote the T-Suite Leadership Program to meet the needs of our most important clients, building trusted and value adding client relationships and reflecting KPMG’s strategic priorities.
- Collaborative working with senior stakeholders and across the wider team; Communications and People teams to ensure we make meaningful connections and align to deliver a one-firm strategy.
- Educate and influence senior stakeholders to leverage KPMG’s relationship program.
3. Role dimensions
3.1 Leadership & Management
This role reports into the Global Leader, Strategic Corporates, Global Tax & Legal, KPMG International.

3.2 Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:
Key stakeholders for the role holder will include:
- Global Tax & Legal Management Team
- Strategic Corporates team
- Global Tax & Legal Clients & Markets / Global Clients & Markets team
- Global Tax & Legal Marketing & Communications

The role involves building relationships at a senior level both inside and outside the firm and includes a significant degree of client relationship development and client interaction, and you will need to maintain and display emotional sensitivity, and strong relationship building skills.

3.3 Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
You will be expected to work autonomously within the firm’s overall strategic priorities but with support from other members of marketing and strategic relationships team to implement aligned programs and initiatives that build trust and reinforce our brand.

4.1 Experience
Core technical competencies
- Expert on KPMG brand and value proposition development, demonstrating ideas for advancing the brand and ensuring a strong impact with alumni communities
- Ten plus years’ commercial/business development or relationship development experience
- Exceptional engagement skills with a proven track record of building and engaging networks and ecosystems.
- Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to self-manage, prioritize a wide variety of tasks, and deliver overall objectives in the long, medium, and short term.
- Demonstrable track record of driving a strategic relationship program or similar.
- Credible in stakeholder management, relationship building, and ability to manage demanding and challenging clients.
- Sound knowledge and well networked re future megatrends and their impact on business
- Able to build and work with virtual teams and to team performance and keep morale high during periods of pressure.
- Able to recruit, coach, guide, and mentor team members to maximize their full potential and to achieve stretching performance targets.

4.2 Expertise/ Technical role requirements:
University degree or equivalent
- Proven expertise in marketing, relationship development and business development
- Substantial experience within the professional services industry at a senior level
4.3 Skills:
- A good general knowledge of the business, economic, political, and social issues prevalent within the UK, US, Europe, and other key markets
- Previous experience of business and relationship development in a professional services organization is desirable
- Able to demonstrate good knowledge of KPMG’s key strengths, brand proposition, and strategic priorities.
