The Global Collaboration and Knowledge (GC&K) department reports to the Global Head of GC&K and works collaboratively across a number of teams to deliver an integrated GC&K service. We work closely with functions and member firms to provide collaboration and knowledge programs and products that enable KPMG employees to turn knowledge into insights and value for KPMG and our clients. Our operating model connects our stakeholders with Business Relationship Managers and Service Management Hubs to create a compelling set of knowledge and collaboration products and services. The Platform & Digital Enablement Hub leads GCK platform & product management with particular emphasis in the following:

• Drives strategic oversight to the design and development of platforms, tools and associated technological processes (translating business needs into technical solutions and product roadmaps)
• Oversees business technical support and liaises with ITS to drive alignment with standards
• Ideates, conceptualizes, and designs rapid prototypes and forward thinking solutions that answer pressing business needs
• Harnesses the power of advanced analytics and intelligent search in order to turn knowledge into insights and value that can differentiate our professionals in the market and drive cost efficiencies.

The GCK Platform Product Managers are responsible for helping to manage one or more products; contributing to a product roadmap and helping ensure that our products meet business sponsored requirements. They lead efforts to elicit business requirements and needs in order to design effective solutions and bring forth key technology strategies through effective management of stakeholder expectations, communications and scope. They also partner with ITS and other relevant business teams in functions and member firms to ensure the platform solutions are delivered and maintained in accordance with agreed timelines and budget. In particular this position is expected to manage the solutions in line with our GCK strategy; ensure that solutions fit consistently within the integrated suite of technology enablers as appropriate; and ensure solutions are of high-quality and operate as designed.

This position will also execute projects (moderately complex), and lead mid-sized project work-streams (virtual, matrix) to success, demonstrating effective planning and organizational capabilities, including management of stakeholder expectations, communications and scope.

Key Accountabilities

• Work closely and collaboratively with product leaders and stakeholders to plan, validate and develop solution strategy.
• Become a subject matter expert on the product/s for the rest of the organization and demonstrate it during consultation meetings.
• Collaborate across and with GCK Hubs and BRMs to drive a seamless and integrated knowledge and collaboration capability to the business.
• Work with the other product managers and leads as appropriate to build cross-functional & product alignment to ensure product(s) function seamlessly as part of the Platform estate.
• Work with the wider Platform Strategy team (e.g. design, operations and support teams) to propose creative and intuitive solutions that align with the overall platform and business strategies.
• Monitor innovative trends and external market changes
• Work with the relevant sponsors/stakeholders to develop product roadmaps, release plans, and other supporting materials to share solutions with the Platform team, GC&K stakeholders and the business.
• Work with the relevant sponsors/stakeholders and ITS Business Analyst(s) to facilitate the elicitation of business requirements.
• Work closely with the other Platform Strategy teams to execute against product design and enhancements.
• Provide relevant status updates with stakeholders, the Platform Strategy Lead and other product managers.
• Design and develop new / enhance current solution
• Conduct test planning and execute UAT / pre-production testing
• Coordinate business readiness activities
• Plan measurement and analytics outputs
• Conduct post-production validation
• Tune, test and reconfigure solution
• Work within the framework, governance and lifecycle process for product management including validating, planning, implementation, run & maintain and decommissioning.
• Provide direction for a product partnering with business owners, GCK team members, and others to drive a consistent and creative implementation strategy.
• Serve as an escalation point in the product support model. Identify ambiguities with reported problems and proactively prescribe solutions to the issues. Coordinate technology operations issue resolution with stakeholders and operations managers.
• Work with support, training and communications on all materials around the product.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
• Good understanding and knowledge of complex technologies and services in the marketplace
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint, 0365 and web technologies
• Good understanding of all phases of development lifecycle
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (a plus)
• Good understanding of UX design processes and methodologies (a plus)
• Strong data analysis skills
• Strong technical skills designing, testing, documenting and implementing business applications
• Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies.

Experience & Knowledge

• Strong experience in a Platform Product role with specific knowledge of product and operations management.
• Good leadership track record, including leading teams in virtual environments.
• Strong project and product management skills. Ability to prepare detailed instructions/guidance and to manage projects. Able to manage multiple medium to complex projects simultaneously.
• Ability to convert business requirements into actions, and communicate those requirements clearly to a wider team.
• Good teamwork and mentoring skills.
• Understands the principles of Knowledge Management models and processes, as well as its tools, structures and technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across an organization including global, country, and technology.
• Good executive presence to influence senior level executives throughout KPMG. The candidate should have existing (or be able to quickly establish) strong relationships with stakeholder individuals and groups at all levels across KPMG.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to learn quickly; thrive on change and strive for continuous improvement.
• Ideally the candidate will have a pragmatic understanding of C&K related Search constraints and risks within KPMG, and an ability to deliver effective solutions.
