By leveraging KPMG's considerable in-house industry knowledge with the leading test tools, methods and practices, KPMG is seeking to help our clients deliver efficient, high-quality change – while minimising risk.

We are currently looking to recruit Advisors who can make a significant contribution to the continuing development of KPMG’s Testing Practice within the Technology team, through sector expertise, client engagement and delivery of new business opportunities. You will help define and grow the Testing Practice, taking responsibility for revenue targets, expanding the pipeline of opportunities and developing value propositions for the market in which we operate.

The Role

- Developing lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs

- Contribute to compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems, covering the range of non-functional scope

- Implement performance testing approaches for a range of technologies (including Cloud) and platforms

- Contribute to the performance testing capability within the Test Practice, supporting the development of approaches and methodologies

- Continually create and improve multiple internal and industry-standard performance testing frameworks, tools & utilities

- Manage engagement teams of non-functional testers and establish high quality report results, whilst capturing automated run & key metrics over time

- Work collaboratively with client business and IT teams to develop, identify, record and analyse non-functional requirements

- Be a driving force in resolving performance defects and tackling complex performance challenges

- Lead and manage performance testing on project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and other hybrid methods alongside helping with the budgeting of automation projects

The Person

- You are a very experienced manager of complex performance and non-functional testing projects across a variety of IT technology platforms (ideally banking and finance applications)

- You have led teams of performance testers, both onshore and offshore, for major platform transformation programmes

- You have designed and successfully implemented complex performance testing architecture and frameworks for clients

- Anticipates the viewpoint of others, listens and addresses concerns

- Builds co-operative relationships and fosters an environment in which everyone’s opinion is valued

- Excellent stakeholder management

- Proactively engages in cross-functional communications and sharing of information.

- Degree in a numerate or computing related subject and ISEB/ISTQB qualified

- Excellent knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle including understanding the various types of testing

- Expert in a range of development languages including Java, C#, Python and .Net

- Expert in a range of database models, as well as database design and structures

- You are confident in developing advanced test plans, acceptance criteria and test conditions from user stories, technical designs and specifications

- You are a team leader with passion to motivate, engage and instil learning culture on the job

- You have a good understanding of test management tools such as HP Quality Centre and JIRA

- Expert technical knowledge in using a wide range of performance test tools

- Experience in modelling performance tests based on non-functional requirements and log file analysis

- Substantial experience in deploying monitoring tools and analysing the output

- Ability to analyse root causes of performance issues and suggest corrective actions

- Working knowledge of API testing tools

- Familiarity with functional test automation methodology

- You have excellent skills in acquiring and analysing test data

- Experience in test data setup at a database level

- Familiarity with integration tools

- Ability to assess testing risks and then estimate, plan and prioritise tasks accordingly
