Performance & Talent Development Assistant Manager-24 months

Role summary
The Performance & Talent Development Assistant Manager is responsible for the successful coordination of various activities under the Performance & Talent Development program of work. This will involve strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration with the Global People team, Global Functions (Audit, Tax, Advisory and Clients and Markets), Audit Quality Workstream, various working groups, Talent Council and country Performance & Talent Development contacts etc.

The role holder will be responsible for the following areas of work:

Everyone a Leader
• Support the embedding of agenda, slide decks and follow up notes for Working Group and associated consultation groups.
• Support member firms in the appropriate application of EA.
• Consider ways to further embed the framework and support member firms with their understanding of the framework.
• Update the Global Talent portal and other appropriate comms channels with EAL appropriate content.

• Support the Performance and Talent lead in increasing 360 adoption and creating a 360 culture globally
• Conduct research into best practice on use of 360s and update guidance for Member Firms accordingly
• Support Member Firms who require a new question set template with ensuring the questions are aligned to KPMG business strategy, objectives of the requirement, measurable and aligned to EAL where possible.

OPEN Performance
• Research and understand the importance and implications of ISQM on our Performance approach
• Support the creation of agenda and slides for the Performance Working Group
• Support the adoption of the new Engagement Review Form (ERF) in the network and support with the development of a communication toolkit to help Member Firms increase usage
• Support with evolving our OpenPD methodology in light of Hybrid Working

GLP & GHS Elevation Program
Working with the Project Manager, GLP/GSH Elevation, at times may be required to
• Support the team with coordinating workstreams and managing project plans
• Manage existing and new content for in the Country deployment and participant toolkits ensuring key stakeholders are actively engaging with the new content
• Support the Global Administration for KF4D Talent Hub

Talent Development & Succession
• Research and understand the latest thinking in the space of talent development and succession planning
• Support with updating the Talent Development and Succession Planning toolkits by engaging with a small number of Member Firms who are known for best practice in these areas ready to support the KPMG network

Talent Team Governance
• Management of agendas, pre-reads and final presentations for Talent Councils and GPSG meetings
• Support the Head of Talent with team related priorities such as reporting, portal updates, HoP bulletin submission etc

Key accountabilities
30% Coordinate various activities under the Talent program of work such as communications, virtual classrooms, project plans, team meetings/calls, organising and supporting workshops.
20% Manage key internal and external stakeholder interactions, including vendor management
20% Develop collateral and materials to support the Performance & Talent Development program of work
20% Conduct research on Performance & Talent Development interventions and stay abreast of latest Talent Development trends.
10% Support the design and measurement of metrics/KPIs for Performance & Talent Development.

Project management / Coordination
- Coordinate various activities under the Performance &Talent Development program of work :
- Draft and manage communications, organise virtual classrooms, senior stakeholder workshops, presentation materials.
- Ownership of project plan, mapping out of deliverables and deadlines and producing status updates for key stakeholder audiences
- Management of regular team meetings, writing agendas and minutes, tracking workstream status, flagging risks and identifying opportunities for alignment
Stakeholder engagement
- Effective consultation, engagement and collaboration across the various teams and stakeholder groups.
- Clear stakeholder engagement plans with clear accountability & responsibility for components of the Performance & Talent Development program of work
- Establish networks / working groups / committees to support decision-making and successful implementation of the Performance & Talent Development work
Consolidation of data and research
- Amalgamate thought leading information from a wide variety of sources into coherent findings and recommendations:
- Identify sources of research: e.g. external and internal thought leadership, competitor analysis, internal stakeholder viewpoints on specific aspect of Performance & Talent Development e.g. Performance Development, Talent Management Strategies, Competency frameworks, etc

Technical Skills & Qualifications
- A basic understanding of current People / Talent practices, methodologies and trends
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisation, coordination and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR/organisation psychology, analytics or a related field desirable but not essential

• A strong interest/passion in Performance & Talent Development and the wider People agenda
• Strong project management experience
• Experience working in a complex organisation environment ideally gained in a matrix structure and professional services firm
• Strong communication skills – ability to articulate clear, compelling ideas; confident and effective interacting with a variety of stakeholders
• Strong ability to condense large amounts of information (research) or data into succinct findings / messages and draft presentations to this end
• Collaborative and with the ability to establish and build strong, professional relationships both internally and externally
• Strong client service orientation
• Willingness to travel internationally if required though this may not be necessary
