Job Description
Working within KPMG's Technology Risk Data team this role involves a varied combination of technical skills, client contact, business development and project management.

The Tech Risk Assets team sits within KPMG Risk Consulting function and develops technology solutions using the OutSystems low-code platform.

These solution are designed to assure compliance, manage risks and make key business decisions to help our clients implement their risk management strategy, embed sustainable and effective practices, and secure operational efficiencies.

It represents a critical component to KPMG's growth strategy and is where much of the innovation and creative early thinking takes place on risk related, data driven projects.

This is a development focused role but the innovation and pace of the work requires someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

They will be more interested in solving business problems with technology than the technology itself, be comfortable working directly with business users (alongside colleagues) and enjoy the driving the development design rather than requiring detailed specs.

The work is highly varied, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to improve and take their skills to the next level by gaining strong consulting, business and technical innovation skills.


This exciting role will fully utilise programming skills using OutSystems low-code platform and extending it where needed.

Strong technical skills are essential, as you will be expected to develop solutions either individually or as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team. Key technical responsibilities include:


Develop solution features following development best practices;


Finish all assigned tasks with quality within the agreed time allocated;


Develop integrations with external systems according to the defined architecture guidelines;


Conducts unit testing and integration testing, executing the necessary bug fixing.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience of some of the following areas:-


Experience in agile development methodologies;


Proficiency with at least one programming language: PHP, C# or Java;


Proficiency in web based languages: JavaScript, CSS, HTML;


Knowledge in ASP.NET;


Programming with databases: SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL;


Professional experience, 1 to 2 year, in web application programing is a plus;

Experience of some of the following areas would be a plus :-


Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Academic achievements valued;


OutSystems low-code platform development experience and certifications;


Experience of using wire-framing and other techniques to validate requirements with users;


Data management experience including traditional ETL and SQL coding;


Reporting/visualisation – PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire, SAS, and/or Pentaho;


Advanced analytics (or data science) - SAS, SPSS, R (or Revolution R), Python etc.
