Marketing’s role in this proposition is vital – instigating and managing end-to-end marketing programmes, deploying premium content to build the firm’s brand reputation in the wider market and building relationships with clients at boardroom level which result in profitable revenue.

Role summary:

The Marketing Executive plays an important role in the marketing team, providing support to Managers and Senior Managers for specific marketing programmes, and assisting with the delivery of wider UK Marketing Programmes.

The Marketing Executive has a number of responsibilities including managing campaigns on the firm’s CRM system involving segmentation of data, establishing targeting lists and coordinating campaign approvals, whilst ensuring campaigns adhere to the necessary brand and compliance guidelines.

You will have the ability to draft supporting communications tailored to your audience, co-ordinate Events with good venue knowledge and understanding of event production, be involved with PR initiatives and be responsible for the administration of marketing systems and processes

The day-to-day functioning of the role, meanwhile, sees the Marketing Executive active in a wide range of marketing activities across both traditional and digital channels, using data analytics and business intelligence to monitor, assess and report on marketing effectiveness.


As such, the ideal individual for this role will be motivated and highly organised, someone who enjoys responsibility, with a willingness to learn and makes a positive contribution to the activities of the Marketing team.

You will be highly-professional, able to work to the standards required in a leading professional services environment.

You will understand the importance of good relationships both within and outside the organisation, using your influencing and negotiating skills to ensure that relationships with third parties work to the best advantage of KPMG, and to promote harmony, understanding and positive contribution internally.

Key functional aims of this role:

- Content development – demonstrating understanding of sector issues; drafting supporting communications
- Content production – liaising with agencies/suppliers, taking effective briefs, keeping up to date on new developments and thinking (eg social media)
- Events – good venue knowledge, understanding of event production, attention to detail
- Programme management – tracking, measurement and reporting on programmes (CRM); assisting with content
- Managing core business administration processes; contributing to best practice and process improvement
- Coordination of thought leadership initiatives and liaison with global colleagues on global sector programmes
- Internal stakeholder management to ensure buy-in on key programmes and maintaining professional and positive relationships with senior members of the sector team as well as marketing colleagues
- Managing ad-hoc marketing requests (video production/design e-invites/web updates)
- Prepare target lists on CRM for marketing activity
Reports and Accountability:

This role will report to the relevant Assistant Marketing Manager/Marketing Manager.

Candidate requirements:

- BA university degree or equivalent
- Professional marketing qualification (CIM) desirable
- Previous experience of marketing in a professional services organisation is desirable but not necessary
- Demonstrable experience in all key functional areas (see above – Key functional aims)
- Highly proficient in all MS Office packages (including Powerpoint) and knowledge of CRM systems
