Marketing’s role in this proposition development is vital – instigating and managing end-to-end marketing programmes that begin with brand building around these issues in the media and digital space right through to developing content for relationship building in the boardroom which result in generating profitable revenue.

Our market proposition is essentially issues-led as we seek to provide our clients with insight around major issues affecting their businesses and the support to solve them. The National Markets marketing team work closely with the business and capabilities (our solutions) to run demand-led campaigns aligned to client issues.

Enterprise is the strategic priority within National Markets and engages fast-growth and privately-owned (predominantly mid-market) clients. Target buyers are business-leaders of privately owned organisations with strategic decision-making responsibility from MDs to Founders, CEOs and CFOs in larger organisations (board-level equivalent). Enterprise is a strategic growth area and fundamental to KPMG’s long-term growth ambitions.



Role summary

The Assistant Manager plays an important role both within the National Markets team and within the wider Marketing team, providing support to Managers and Senior Managers.

The day-to-day functioning of the role, sees the Assistant Manager active in a wide range of marketing activities across both traditional and digital channels; using data analytics and business intelligence to monitor, assess and report on marketing effectiveness. Helping in the content curation process, liaising with in-house teams to ensure brand and compliance approvals, and utilising both internal and external resource for the creation of digital assets and content.

The ideal individual for this role will be a highly-organised self-starter who is interested and experienced in digital and campaign marketing. And who enjoys taking on responsibility and making a positive contribution to the activities of the Marketing team.

You will understand the importance of good relationships both within and outside the organisation, using your influencing and negotiating skills to ensure that relationships with third parties work to the best advantage of KPMG, and to promote harmony, understanding and positive contribution internally.



Key functional aims of this role

- Supporting in the delivery of marketing programmes and campaigns to support objectives
- Copywriting and proof reading materials and ensuring they adhere to our tone of voice
- Working with other members of the marketing team to ensure programmes are joined up, sponsored and delivered on budget in line with firm strategy
- Building trusted relationships and working closely with the Enterprise segment leads, regions and BD teams
- Supporting the delivery of high quality management information on the performance of marketing activities and programmes
- Being a brand ambassador and ensuring that all campaigns adhere to the necessary brand and risk guidelines
- Managing ad-hoc marketing requests (video production/design e-invites/web updates)
- Supporting at various events and conferences


Reports and Accountability

This role will report to the Marketing Manager in the Enterprise team.

You will be expected to work largely autonomously within the firm’s overall strategic priorities. You will work with colleagues across the function to ensure successful collaboration and delivery of campaigns through our core market channels.



Candidate requirements

- BA university degree or equivalent
- Professional marketing qualification (CIM) preferred
- An interest and experience in events and digital marketing
- Experience working in the marketing function of a large business organisation is preferred
- Previous experience of marketing in a professional services organisation is essential
- Highly creative and innovative with a strong grasp on existing and emerging digital technologies
- Highly proficient in all MS Office packages and knowledge of CRM systems
- Experience with Umbraco, Google Analytics and Adobe Campaign is advantageous
