We provide in-depth advice on the strategic, financial, commercial and economic issues driving transport, power and utilities and social infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally. This broad range of projects involves work with both public and private sector clients.


In transport we advise Central Government departments, arms-length bodies and city region authorities on industry structuring, procurement, funding, financing and/or economic impact of the largest programmes and projects in the UK. We also advise private sector operators, investors and asset owners on bids for major transport contracts. Current and recent projects include the rail reform programme, commercial and strategic aspects of HS2, the funding of Crossrail 2, Greater Manchester’s transport investment programme, the procurement of Silvertown Tunnel, Network Rail’s ‘Putting Passengers First’ programme and bids for the West Coast Partnership and East Midlands rail franchises. We offer opportunities to work with both public and private sector clients at a range of points in the infrastructure lifecycle.


We are looking for a driven, numerate, commercially-focussed Manager with a keen interest in the rail sector to join our growing team. They need to understand the current industry reform agenda and have relevant related professional experience, as well as engagement and team management experience.


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:


- Managing day-to-day the delivery of specific work streams or client engagements in the rail sector, including the development of associated reports, financial analysis and other client deliverables


- Building and maintaining relationships with clients


- Supporting the development of proposals for new business and other business development initiatives


- Developing market intelligence and sector knowledge


- Working on multiple projects


- Supporting effective project planning, delivery and closure


- Ensuring projects are delivered in a manner that complies with internal and regulatory procedures


- Performance managing Associate and/or Executive team members


- Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Qualifications:


- 5 GCSEs/O levels including Maths and English


- Strong degree, ideally with a numeric basis


- All UK staff who have not passed a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-approved exam will be required to do so
