The Role

The Forensic Data Analytics team works as part the wider Forensic Practice within Risk Consulting. We work primarily across the Financial Services industry delivering innovative data and analytics services to our clients across several areas

The key drivers for our services are regulatory, risk mitigation, cost control and operational optimisation. We are looking to grow our Forensic Data Analytics capability and for this this new role we require an individual who brings a strong combination of excellent technical skills, business acumen and possess the ambition and potential to grow within our Forensic Data Analytics business.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Manage Client delivery workstreams focusing on Solution and Architecture design and data modelling
• Effectively manage risk
• Take accountability for the successful delivery of engagement outputs and Client outcomes
• Provide structure and direction to the delivery of engagement
• Support relationships between Vendors and Clients to translate system ‘jargon’ into business terminology
• Build positive and collaborative relationships with senior Client stakeholders
• Facilitate collaborative and fulfilling working environments for the Client and KPMG staff on engagements

Business Development

• Build and leverage both internal and external relationships to support senior stakeholder to contribute to business development opportunities
• Contribute to the development of response for proposals (RFPs) to Client opportunities
• Develop innovative and Client focused go-to-market propositions

Practice Development

• Support senior management with internal operational responsibilities for the team
• Lead practice development initiatives and provide guidance to junior members of the team on these initiatives
• Lead and/or contribute to formal training, knowledge sharing, networking activities for the team
• Act as informal career development mentor and coach for junior members of the team


The Person

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

There will be opportunities to work across many areas of the business as well as third party alliances to continue to develop our service offering. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience in designing or implementing architectures of large-scale data processing pipelines and documenting transition states/roadmaps
• Experience in SQL, Python or C#, Version Control Systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Good working knowledge of Cloud components preferably on Azure or AWS ecosystems
• Understanding of data integration and reporting tools (SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience/exposure in working within Agile teams
• Good understanding of integrating or adapting machine learning services as part of end-to-end production pipelines (Speech to Text, NLP models and RESTful Services)
• Awareness of key technology trends in Banking including migration to Cloud, SaaS, Automation etc
• Broad experience, with examples of delivering client work focusing on advanced analytics services
• Ability to manage small teams and develop others
• Self-starting, pro-active team player that is a experienced delivering technology enabled solutions
• Ability to create and deliver engaging reports / presentations and output reviews to senior stakeholders
