The Role


The KPMG Finance Transformation team is looking to grow our capability for IFRS 17 Data & Systems implementation and testing. As part of this, we are looking for a technology delivery manager who is able fulfil the following responsibilities:


Client Delivery:

• Manage IFRS 17 technology design, implementation and testing engagements
• Accountable for the successful delivery of engagement deliverables and client outcomes
• Provide structure and direction to the delivery of engagement activities.
• Build positive and collaborative relationships with senior client stakeholders
• Facilitate collaborative and fulfilling working environments for the client and KPMG staff on engagements


Business Development:

• Support Partners / Directors / Senior Managers to create business development and sales opportunities for the firm in IFRS 17 data & systems implementations
• Lead technology based assets in the area of IFRS 17 testing and support partners / Directors / Senior Managers in bringing them to the market
• Contribute to the development of response for proposals (RFPs) to client opportunities
• Seek to cross-sell and bring opportunities to other part of the firm where appropriate


People management & talent development:

• Support senior management with internal operational management responsibilities for the team
• Lead practice development initiatives and provide guidance to junior members of the team on these initiatives
• Lead and/or contribute to formal training, knowledge sharing, networking activities for the team
• Act as informal career development mentors and coaches for junior members of the team


The Person


Successful candidate should have excellent Finance Data & Systems expertise and delivery experience, as well as knowledge of Insurance Financial & Actuarial reporting processes.

We are looking at candidates who can demonstrate the following skills:

• IFRS 17 data and systems impacts assessment and requirements definition

• IFRS 17 Contractual Service Margin (CSM) solution design

• IFRS 17 solution test delivery management on IFRS 17 programmes
• Insurance Finance Reporting Processes

• IFRS 17 and Finance Transformation technology solution development and delivery management
• Ability to translate and communicate technical information and data to Finance and Actuarial stakeholders

• Ability to translate Finance and Actuarial requirements into design specifications for technology solution build
• Technical subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas (not an exhaustive list):
- Insurance (Life & GI) Finance systems architectures
- Data architecture & integration
- IFRS 17 Calculation engines
- Structured & Unstructured data management approaches
- MS Azure SQL Server, SSIS, Data Factory and MS PowerBI, Qliksense
- Insurance Finance Data Model



Experience

We are looking at candidates who can demonstrate the following relevant experience:

• 5 years+ Insurance Finance Transformation consulting and technology implementation experience

• IFRS 17 data & systems implementation and test delivery experience

• Experience in managing diverse teams, working remotely across international locations

• Experience in designing and building IFRS 17 data and systems technology solutions
• Experience in overseeing the software development cycle of technology assets such as agile development, unit testing and release management
