Employment Tax operates as a national practice. As employment tax specialists we work on a wide variety of clients including many household names. The work is primarily project based covering areas such as employment tax governance, international pension plan advisory, payroll effectiveness and expenses and benefits compliance.

An opportunity exists for a Manager in our Employment Tax team in London – further details of the role and responsibilities are set out below.

Role and Responsibilities

- Managing work in relation to a wide variety of employment tax advisory projects, varying from larger strategic projects through to risk and opportunity reviews.
- Managing employer compliance activities relating to areas such as PAYE health checks, SAO certification, HMRC’s “Know Your Customer” reviews, voluntary disclosures, CIS compliance, PAYE Settlement Agreements and running projects relating to payroll advisory such as end to end payroll process reviews and National Minimum Wage investigations.
- Managing International Pension plan advisory projects including advising large employers and trustees on how to build and operate effective tax governance frameworks. Providing advice to senior high net worth executives on the international tax treatment of distributions from pension plans. Advising large global employers on their international pension policy for internationally mobile staff.
- In addition, tasks will include managing the delivery of ad-hoc employment tax advice relating to areas such as employment status reviews, termination payments, salary sacrifice and due diligences.
- Taking responsibility for managing and delivering work to a high standard and meeting deadlines.
- Proactively dealing with engagement management aspects of project delivery including work in progress, billing and risk procedures and with consideration for the financial and commercial implications when making difficult decisions.
- Reviewing work and coaching and developing junior colleagues.
- Managing and developing client relationships through business development activities.
- Co-ordinating international pension plan tax advice from the KPMG global network.
- Involvement in local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

- CTA, ACA, ATT, CPA or CA qualified
