Job DescriptionThe Role

- Developing lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs
- Provide compelling and well thought out solutions to problems of moderate complexity

You will work with KPMG architects, client architects and senior IT leaders to:

- Act as a Data Architect, serving as the SME for the sales and delivery of architecutral advisory services around Information/Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Modelling, Data Management and Analytics
- Develop advisory assets, toolkits and provide thought leadership around our advisory services to contribute to market growth.
- Contribute to our wider capability group by participating in and leading people and capability initiatives.
- Architect scalable data processing and analytics solutions, covering product selection, technical feasibility thorugh to architecture assurance

To do this, you will need to bring industry experience and architecture subject matter knowledge:

Client Delivery

- Deliver high quality advisory services which bring architecture rigour and insight to complex technology problems.
- Contribute to disciplined execution of advisory services by adhering to budget and schedule.
- Good stakeholder management.

Market Development:

- Contribute to business development including Requests for Proposals and new assets.
- Build strong client relationships, through high quality delivery and close attention to underlying business problems.
- Adhere to internal risk/engagement management processes.

Capability Development:

- Contribute to the development of a vibrant and profitable Technology Architecture Capability Group.
- Develop and Contribute to thought leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maximise our shared knowledge and experience.

Experience of providing several of the following: Technical reviews and assessments, IT audits, technical roadmaps, architecture and solution designs, IT sourcing, IT Data strategy.

- Experience of architecting solutions as part of an overall enterprise architecture and of producing logical and physical designs.
- Experience of data warehouse technology, databases, big data solutions both industry and open source.
- Demonstrable experience and awareness of data technologies and patterns, approaches to delivering enterprise solutions and market trends.
- Understanding of operational, analytical and reporting data, logical and physical data models, ETL, data mapping, structured and unstructured data, data regulation, data privacy and security concerns.
- Understanding of data management, replication and synchronisation, archiving, test management.
- Subject matter expertise and experience from either industry, product or consulting background.
- Good communication skills and client-facing stakeholder management experience.


- Experience within Business to Business (B2B) industries such as Oil and Gas, Distribution, Retail, Telecoms etc.
- Practical experience in large scale, enterprise wide, complex transformations.
- A natural interest in technology, being passionate about the benefits that technology can bring.
- A desire to deliver to a high standard in a suitable timeframe.
- Self-motivation and ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Experience of some of the following or equivalents: Azure data factory, Hadoop, ETLL, DB2, Oracle, SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica MDM, IBM Infosphere, SAP Data Services, SRSS, SISS, SAS, Teradata, Exadata, GoldenGate, Data Guard, Hadoop, MongoDB, Kafka, Apache Storm.
- Experience in architecting data solutions using the leading Cloud Platform Providers (AWS, Azure & Google) and/or moving data solutions from on-premise to hybrid or cloud.
