Job Description We have a requirement for an experienced M&A Advisor to work in the Consumer Goods & Retail ( CGR) Team within M&A in London. The role will allow the successful candidate to work on a broad range of domestic and international transactions for corporate, private equity and owner managed clients. The scope of the role will include both execution of transactions as well as helping with the origination of new opportunities across the CGR space, including specific sub-sectors including Food, Travel & Leisure and FMCG.

KPMG is the leading mid market M&A advisor in UK, Europe and globally and is looking to recruit M&A Associates keen to contribute to the ongoing success of the business.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the delivery of discrete aspects of M&A transactions; including assuming responsibility for specific aspects of the transaction cycle and deal execution, reporting directly to senior team members and involve extensive client interaction and exposure to senior management, including at the CEO and CFO level
- Draft transaction documentation including marketing materials, presentation materials and talk books for client proposals
- Proactively assisting business development efforts including drafting pitch materials, providing market insights and performing comparable companies/transactions analyses
- Undertake complex financial analysis and modelling; able to capture and accurately model a number of types of operational models and sector needs
- Interaction with due diligence, providing communication and guidance across the process including co-ordinating all stakeholders and other advisors including, for example, legal and tax

Qualifications and Skills
- Highly numerate and CFA, ACA, MBA or international equivalent desirable
- Ability to identify critical and relevant data sources
- Proven numerical, analytical and strategic rational, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in an M&A role within relevant sub-sectors

Experience and Background
- Demonstrated experience of Financial modelling including LBO & DCF analysis
- Advanced operations of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Commitment to high quality standards, attention to detail and motivation to deliver results within tight deadlines
- Personable approach, possessing the ability to create confidence and trust with colleagues and clients alike
- Sector specific M&A experience and strong Transactional experience with a demonstrable record of deal execution across all phases of the transaction cycle from origination to completion
