You will be working to continuously advance and standardise our client’s infrastructure and pipelined deployments, whilst collaborating with colleagues to write infrastructure as code that scales and takes advantage of the technologies available in the market.


Location
We have learnt during the recent global situation that remote working can, and has, worked for our large Engineering team. Whilst we have three core offices (London, Manchester and Leeds) we are open to remote working across the UK with a view to being onsite at least one day per week.

The Role
• Be responsible for evolving the Product Strategy and Roadmap for at least one core product area
• Have experience as a product owner in an Agile software development environment with cross functional teams
• Be able to capture requirements from existing customers and be able to plan epics and stories as the roadmap evolves
• Define user stories, manage and prioritise the product backlog
• Drive a clear understanding of and manage to release acceptance criteria for each product feature, including the criteria for the minimal viable product
• Driving the delivery of the product Backlog - Identify and measure the success criteria for each delivered feature
• Sustain and cultivate the right relationships with partner teams
• Be a strong collaborator and evangelist for the products and services being delivered
• Be an ambassador for product thinking and promote a product mindset culture across the teams

The Person
• Ability to work positively and communicate effectively with the team and external stakeholders in the usage of the products/services
• The ability to facilitate team meetings and group conversations
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the various ITS teams.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Provides an Outside-In, Customer-Driven, Design Thinking Perspective.
• Growth mindset and a good understanding of technology, digital services and trends
• Being able to understand the wider strategy of the Technology organisation and help translate the objectives in the product/services.


Desirable Skills :

• Experience with Public cloud products and services - AWS/Azure/GCP
• Understanding in the use of multiple configuration management, infrastructure provisioning and automation tools.
• Good understanding and experience of API version management and other modern software patterns
• Excellent understanding and experience of the overall SDLC for application development
• Experience of working in a strongly regulated industry
