Job Description
The purpose of the Inclusion, Diversity and Social Equality (IDSE) Manager role is to support the evolution and continuous improvement of the UK’s IDSE Strategy, in line with the firm’s Vision and Values and underpinning the pillars of the IDSE Action Plan:

The IDSE Manager will report into our Co-Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Social Equality.

Responsibilities

The incumbent of the role will be responsible for:

- Bringing proven IDSE subject matter expertise to the firm, enabling us to implement and deliver our IDSE Action Plan
- Working with Strategic Workforce Planning, People Analytics and Employee Engagement to ensure that meaningful IDSE MI is extracted, analysed and presented to inform key stakeholders and drive change (e.g. Capability and Coverage Group Data Analysis; People Survey Data Analysis)
- Partnering with a number of key internal clients, providing subject matter expertise and advice to develop capability level IDSE Action Plans, to hold the business accountable for driving change across leadership and culture, recruitment, retention and engagement, progression
- Working with ELAT and GDPR team to ensure appropriate management of sensitive and personal IDSE data
- Overseeing and implementing the IDSE actions for key people processes (e.g. Engagement and Exit interviews, Work allocation)
- Overseeing our approach to our Employee Network governance and management , and wider Inclusion Year activity, ensuring alignment with the broader IDSE Action Plan
- Responsibility for overseeing and managing third-party memberships and producing relevant benchmarking submissions
- Keeping abreast of external IDSE initiatives, reading and researching best practice – in particular ethnicity-focused diversity – and putting forward proposals, initiatives and ideas for review
- Where required, support the IDSE Co-Heads in partnering with client facing staff who are seeking an IDSE input into client work / matters
- Performance Management of the IDSE Advisor

The individual

- Subject matter expertise / technical knowledge
- Successful candidates are likely to have demonstrable prior subject matter expertise in IDSE and are likely to have around 5 years or more experience in this space
- Experience of working with others in a large, matrixed organisational structure
- Good technical knowledge of methods and models of culture and behavioural change, combined with experience of their practical application to successfully design and implement IDSE projects and programmes that will bring about behavioural change

MI, reporting and quality

- Confident in interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and communicating conclusions in clear and compelling way
- Experience of working with information of a sensitive or confidential nature
- Good understanding and experience of the need to evidence delivery and results
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Project management

- Assertive, self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and respond quickly to issues raised or work required
- Excellent project management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects/streams of activity
- Evidence of working effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities , providing senior level support and guidance to more junior team members
- Comfortable working within a rapidly changing environment and dealing positively with ambiguity

Stakeholder management, communications and team-work

- Experience of implementing IDSE initiatives within a commercial environment and managing multiple stakeholders
- A confident and persuasive communicator (verbal and written), with the ability to adapt the style of communication as appropriate to the audience
- Resilient and able to challenge and persuade senior stakeholders in the face of resistance
- Excellent team-working skills with a proactive, enthusiastic and “hands-on” approach
- People management experience
