Department Information

The People Operations teams provide administrative and advisory support to our UK Business and through our ‘service pledge’ underpin our overall People Strategy and Vision. Customer centric, we are consistently looking for ways to exceed expectations of our people across the business with the service we deliver
Context of role As a Legal Immigration Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring our visa processes within People Operations are followed, maintained and allow the firm’s immigration licence to remain compliant.

Alongside two other assistants, you will undertake administrative support for 7 Consultants around internal immigration cases. This covers:

- Tier 2 (General)
- Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer)
- Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange)
- Ancestry
- Spousal visas
- PBS Dependant visas

Your focus will be on working as part of the team to exceed customer expectations. You will be responsible for delivering high quality and consistent service delivery across all processes. Meeting, and where possible exceeding, our Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) is critical to our success and needs to be achieved in parallel with delivering a high quality service.

Role and Responsibilities

The role has the following key responsibilities:
- Have a reasonable understanding of the visa process and the differing levels of permission to work in the UK
- Effective and timely inbox management
- Drafting immigration documentation and preparation of application packs
- Liaising with KPMG employees, HR and Global Mobility contacts during the application process
- Compiling reports
- Legal research
- Ensuring all cases are handled with accuracy and expedience
- Keeping up to date with changes to the global immigration landscape
- Keeping all internal systems up to date in real time

Experience, Qualification and Skills

The successful candidate is likely to have/be able to demonstrate:
- Ideally you will have previous experience of a legal immigration office environment, however this is not essential;
- Ideally you will have awareness or knowledge of UK immigration law, however this is not essential;
- You can demonstrate strong administration skills;
- Have an ability to build relationships and communicate with people at all levels;
- High levels of resilience, with experience of working in a highly pressurised client centric environment;
- Possess excellent attention to detail;
- Be an excellent communicator – written and verbal;
- Have strong organisational, literacy and numeracy skills;
- Ability to prioritise task list; and
- Have a good degree of IT proficiency, including Worksite, Word and Excel.
