Job DescriptionThe Team

IGH is Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare. Our dedicated sector team are committed to helping our clients to develop and deliver key UK public services and infrastructure.

We make a difference; amongst others, we are lead IT audit advisors to the National Audit Office and partner with the Government Internal Audit Agency to deliver IT audit services to many Central Government Departments. Our IGH team aren’t just external and internal IT auditors. We offer a wide variety of assurance related advisory services including IT risk management, data strategy, programme assurance, SOC reporting, IT due diligence and business process controls. Our dedicated market team delivers a higher proportion of advisory work than any other sector team.

We are proud of helping our clients to innovate and navigate regulatory and governance challenges along the way. Such as the work we have delivered to enable data sharing in many areas, including Greater Manchester.
We work closely alongside other specialist technology teams in IT Consulting such as our CIO Advisory, Cyber and Data Analytics teams.

We service our IGH clients from hubs in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
The team works in an agile and flexible manner, with plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and gain new knowledge. We are keen to support and develop our people to enable them to be the best they can be.

The Role

- Helping to expand and land our IGH Technology Risk business in London and the South East.
- Leading our approach to Independent Programme Assurance for technology related change for IGH clients nationally.
- Maintaining and building a network of contacts who are potential buyers of Tech Risk services in IGH.
- Developing and delivering targeting strategies in one or two specific markets for Tech Risk services such as Transport and Infrastructure.
- Building a network of contacts with a focus on potential buyers of Tech Risk services.
- Delivering work to key clients to maximise quality, minimise risk to KPMG and build client relationships.
- Developing internal networks and maintaining relationships with colleagues across other teams within KPMG.
- Coaching and developing more junior team members on engagements.
- Contributing to practice management, e.g. training, proposition development, and knowledge management.

The Person

- You'll have a strong professional profile with an existing network and proven track record within public sector or infrastructure
- Experience in a technology risk and control / audit environment within professional services or an internal audit / risk function (experienced IT programme managers will also be considered).
- A good understanding of technology platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and report writing skills.
- Ability to develop excellent relationships both internally and with clients.
- Capability to deliver work within tight timescales to a high quality.
- Relevant professional qualifications for the role.
- Existing UK Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain this to SC level based upon UK residence and background check requirements.It would also be useful (but not a deal-breaker) if you have:

- Experience of risk management, programme delivery and IT strategy.
- Ability to identify and assess complex IT risks and controls and then clearly relate them to the wider business environment
