Job DescriptionThe Team


Technology brings tremendous opportunities as well as considerable threats to organisations. Our clients need to deal effectively with technology related risks and derive maximum value from data and technology enabled business processes. Our services are of both an assurance and advisory nature and include:
- IT in the External Audit;
- IT Security and Risk Management
- IT Internal Audit
- 3rd Party Risk
- Independent Programme Assurance
- ERP controls (Business System and Controls)
- Revenue Assurance

The Corporates team within Technology Risk Consulting services clients like National Grid, Centrica, Astra Zeneca, Novartis, etc. Our engagements often take place in an international context which requires us to provide services across the globe, often in close cooperation with other KPMG offices.

The Role


This role requires specific experience in at least one of IT External Audit, IT Internal Audit, 3rd Party risk and Independent Project Assurance. The successful candidate will be involved in client facing and client relationship building across of range of corporate clients.

Responsibilities include:

- Delivery of value-added technology risk consulting and assurance services to Corporate clients
- Responsibility for the overall output from client engagements
- Scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables
- Building and managing excellent client relationships (typically at CIO / project sponsor level)
- Actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentations
- Coaching and developing team members on engagements

The Person


Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience of successfully delivering technology risk services (including IT Audit) to corporate industry clients
- Big 4 professional services or dynamic IT consultancy environment within Corporates
- CISA or equivalent auditing qualification preferred
- Degree/masters qualification in IT

Experience and Background:

- Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes within Corporates
- Experience of core systems - including transaction processing and financial ledger systems
- A good understanding of technology platforms
- Ability to present on specific subjects to a large group of people
- Ability to identify and assess complex IT risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly to all levels
- Ability to develop excellent client and internal relationships
- Ability to deliver work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high quality ITGC
