Job Description
Overall Purpose:

• Responsible for overall Resourcing supply activity across IGH Consulting; Working in alignment with NM Consulting Resourcing Lead to support overall NM Consulting strategy
- Relationship manager across IGH leadership, Service lead partners and Performance Leader community
- Management of IGH Resourcing supply team, including bench management and best practise resourcing
- Key conduit in supporting the use of alternative solutions for engagement delivery, including the use of KPMG UK and other members firms, KGS, Associates and Sub-Contractors/Alliances
- Gaining a clear understanding of high demand/growth areas and key propositions to help feed into workforce planning

Operational Management

- Lead on IGH Consulting Resourcing activity including:

o Headcount tracking and forecasting
o Supply Leadership across IGH
o Informing and advising on recruitment governance
o Ensuring key accounts are given focus in decision making around allocation of resources
o Effective use of third party resources at the right rates and acceptable risk level;
o Share of resourcing across the coverages and capabilities
o Identification of any skills gaps in the capability group
o Continued monitoring of Associate skills base and deployment in order to keep associated costs at a minimum and boosting performance group utilisation
o Ownership of end to end Security Clearance process
o Optimise KGS usage

Delivery

- Allocation of client facing staff to projects; drawing on robust negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and escalating issues when necessary
- Drive Service Line resourcing across the business by building excellent relationships and making the most of knowledge sharing with the wider team to maximise utilisation by team
- Influencing key stakeholders on resource selection and strategic solutions to achieve maximum utilisation and effective skills / grade mix on projects including increased KGS usage.
- Work with engagement managers to ensure profitability is kept at the forefront of resourcing decisions, and succession planning is taken into account
- Support Resource Management projects and initiatives where appropriate to support the continuous improvement of the RM function, eg career clinics, PL roadshows and MI
- Attending the weekly sales pipeline meetings and flagging to Service Line Leadership any potential resourcing conflicts, challenges and successes
- Visit client sites as appropriate, to allow relationship building with the client facing team / engagement managers, aid forward planning and ensure forecasts are reflected accurately in Retain

Performance Management

• Responsible for the Performance Management of Resource Advisors at D & E grade
- Lead, develop and motivate staff taking full responsibility for individual and team performance management, coaching, development and communications.
- Recruitment and selection of new team members as appropriate

Key Skills & experience

- Significant, proven managerial experience essential
- Resourcing background gained in a Professional Services environment
- Excellent relationship management and communications skills
- Resilient and capable of working in a challenging, continuously changing environment
- Confident, assertive and have the ability to prioritise and manage both the workload of themselves and the team within which they operate.
- Ability to influence strategic resourcing, training and recruitment decisions through presentation of information that is timely and informative
- Strong team player
- Flexibility and tenacity
- Strong Commercial Awareness
