Job DescriptionIntroduction

The Collaboration and Knowledge (C&K) department works across the four key functions of KPMG (Audit, Tax, Advisory and Global Sales & Markets) to provide collaboration and knowledge programs and products that enable KPMG employees to turn knowledge into value for KPMG and our clients.

The operating model for the C&K department connects four functionally aligned C&K teams with four ‘Global Programme’ teams. The eight teams report to the Global Head of C&K and work collaboratively to deliver an integrated C&K service.

The Functional C&K Teams act as a channel for gathering customer and communicating requirements to the Global Programme teams. They are principally responsible for oversight and accountability of the collaboration and knowledge solutions for the business areas they support. They also support continuous improvement initiatives, content management activities, stakeholder management and reporting, management and facilitation of collaborative programs.

The Platform Strategy Team responds to requests by advising on existing solutions and developing new solutions as appropriate. The team works alongside other GC&K teams to provide technical consultation, design and build for GC&K services, products
and platforms.

The Product Enablement Team develops a limited number of core ‘knowledge products’ based on the business requirements gathered by the functional teams, and ensures those products remain relevant and aligned to business needs and issues throughout their lifecycle.

The Research Team responds to customer requests for research and competitive intelligence and manages external content and vendors.

The Strategy & Planning Team is responsible for directing programme delivery across C&K and operationalising the C&K strategy. It acts as the member firm liaison arm of the global C&K team, sharing programme priorities with member firms, setting and governing member firm C&K KPIs and administering the offshore team. Global project portfolio management is key to ensuring consistency and alignment across functions and locations.

The High Growth Markets Knowledge Manager sits within the GS&M Functional C&K team and leads and supports Knowledge Service activities within the HGM practice.

You will be responsible and accountable for the availability and quality of knowledge assets contained in Global Sales and Markets (GS&M) repositories, for developing content strategies, as well as working to embed knowledge sharing behaviours, KM processes and solutions in alignment with the HGM and GS&M Knowledge strategies.

The HGM Knowledge Manager develops and reviews requirements for Knowledge Integrators (and Knowledge Analysts) related to content acquisition and maintenance activities and works with the GS&M Knowledge Lead and the relevant C&K Programme teams to develop solutions to ensure that Global Lead Partners, Global Account teams (Platinum), CoE experts and KPMG professionals can access the best examples of strategically important knowledge assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand and be able to articulate the strategic direction and objectives of the HGM practice, and develop and maintain content strategies, in accordance with the content strategy framework, to meet the knowledge requirements (in alignment with the broader GS&M Knowledge Strategy).
- Serve as a point of contact for HGM and Sector Leaders, Global Lead Partners and Global Accounts (Platinum) on matters related to KM, knowledge sharing, and collaboration including identifying means to continuously improve knowledge programs and solutions.
- Establish strong relationships with HGM and Sector Leaders, Global Lead Partners and Global Accounts (Platinum) to identify KM needs/requirements, measures of success, and obtain full participation in the program.
- Establish, develop and manage subject matter expert networks, including identifying measures of success and communicating roles and expectations of all parties.
- Establish, facilitate, and manage collaborative approaches to knowledge sharing (e.g. Communities of Practice) using firm-wide tools (i.e. The Hub).
- Manage content architecture for assigned content areas i.e. gather requirements for and maintain knowledge channels (principally Portal but will include a variety of existing and emerging platforms) around assigned content areas to facilitate easy access to relevant knowledge and/or expertise.
- Accountable for ensuring that the KM program leverages leading practices, agreed standards, and aligns with GS&M, and firm-wide KM programs (including taxonomies, UI, and use of offshore resources).
- Working within the strategy laid out by the GS&M Research Lead and Research Enablement Manager, advise Sector and Global Accounts (Platinum) on available (and recommended) research, competitive intelligence and Go-To-Market products and services.
- Develop and deploy training material for new joiners within the Sector or Global Accounts (Platinum) in coordination with other GS&M Knowledge Managers, leveraging existing materials from Global KM and other KM programs as appropriate (and agreed).
- Utilizing available evaluation initiatives gauge knowledge program effectiveness and return on investment – including metrics collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure Risk policies related to knowledge sharing and knowledge products are being upheld, including copyright and content licensing agreements.
- Design, develop, and manage deployment of communications and awareness programs related to KM, knowledge sources and relevant tools in full alignment with broader, approved GS&M Knowledge Strategy.
- Work with Knowledge Integrators and Portal development team to manage the rollout and deployment of GS&M KM initiatives.
- Work as part of the GS&M team to ensure consistent, sustainable, and global Knowledge Services solutions are developed.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in related field
