No one type of person succeeds at KPMG; a diverse business requires diverse personalities, characters and perspectives. Whoever you are, there is a place for you here.

About the programme

Technology underpins many of the most influential organisations in the world.  It enables the biggest business decisions and connects people around the globe.  The opportunities that technology brings are matched only by its potential threats. It connects billions of people with each other every day and enables business decisions for all companies.

Our Cloud Transformation graduate programme is designed to offer the client exposure and support you need to start a successful career in technology.  You will develop hands on technical skills and help deliver successful software projects in the public Cloud that make a difference.

We operate at genuine scale, partnering with the big three public Cloud providers to deliver cutting edge solutions to clients on a global stage. As a result, you will get to work on interesting and complex challenges that provide you with daily learning opportunities.

Key skills required

People who excel within the Cloud Transformation graduate programme are passionate about continually adapting their skills and knowledge to find solutions that meet clients' needs. We also ask for a keen interest in technology but we do not require a formal technical background.

We look for individuals who have a team-first mindset and a willingness to share what you learn. You should be willing to take on early responsibility and get stuck in. As a team we are curious and look to seek the facts, providing feedback to each other in order to continually develop.

What are we looking for you to show us?

During the recruitment process, you will need to demonstrate KPMG's Global Behavioural Capabilities which will give us confidence you’ll be successful in the firm. By this, we mean the skills and behaviours that every person here at KPMG shares. To us, ‘behaviours’ are more than the way you act – they represent the set of values that underpin our business.

What your job will involve

As a graduate, you’ll follow a structured programme working on a range of projects with different clients and technologies. Highly diverse, this work will span the delivery lifecycle, from initially shaping a project through its design to technical delivery.

You will start in our Frontline team where you will learn how to respond to incidents, handle client requests and build up familiarity with modern infrastructure tools like Packer and Terraform.

We will build on this knowledge in a service team to deliver projects from inception through to its technical delivery and ongoing support and run functions. You will build, secure and maintain infrastructure across different public Cloud providers at real scale.

This is a practical, hands on programme supported by online training courses and experienced team members to mentor you.

Your training and development

Training will continue throughout your career at KPMG but during your first couple of years, we focus on equipping you with further technical and industry knowledge. The exact shape of your training will be influenced by the type of work you’re engaged in, but will involve learning market-leading technologies and industries, and formal training on a number of delivery and consulting approaches.

KPMG has excellent relationships with Cloud vendors which means you get access to expert authorities within their field. Everyone is encouraged to gain industry recognised certifications from AWS, Microsoft and Google and we will assign you to projects so you get hands on experience to compliment the theory. Everyone has access to learning platforms like PluralSight and A Cloud Guru to support your growth.

Additionally, we offer on-the-job training and access to wide-ranging courses that will help you to manage your time, influence stakeholders, manage finances and lead others to help you through your graduate programme and onto your future career.

What do we look for?

Within our recruitment process, we look for more than just your academic results. This wider perspective helps us ensure that we are giving you the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We assess your application against KPMG’s Global Behavioural Capabilities and a number of other metrics, including technical background and/or experience, to build our confidence in whether you will be a success at KPMG.

As a general rule, you'll be expected to meet the following requirements:

- Minimum grade B GCSE* Maths

- Minimum grade B GCSE* English Language

- Minimum of 300 UCAS Tariff points*
