About the programme 

KPMG’s Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice helps organisations to manage their globally mobile workforce and respond to the challenges and opportunities created by cross border operations. As a global network of member firms, we support more than 90,000 mobile employees/assignees in more than 900 organisations. In the UK, our team provides a single source of advisory and compliance experience covering all aspects of global mobility and international assignments.

The Global Mobility Technology team specifically focuses on helping organisations manage their global workforce, using progressive technology solutions to provide tax and advisory services to companies and individuals. Our mobile and web applications enable companies to manage and stay in touch with their employees around the world.

KPMG's Global Mobility Technology team provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and a range of clients in the area of tax and advisory services. Not only will you get hands-on technology experience but also the support to complete a professional Tax qualification and many other learning opportunities to develop and propel you into a successful career in Tax.

Key skills required

You'll have a keen interest and aptitude for technology. A desire to learn tax-technical skills is also a must.  You'll be curious, innovative and have a preference for the technology details. You'll have good communication skills, are intuitive and proactive.

What your job will involve

You will work as part of a team to design, develop and implement technology for clients. You will gather client requirements and translate these into working approaches. There will be an element of project management and you will also help to test and support the software.

You will be involved in various projects including implementing and supporting mobile and web applications in the areas of: assignment management; global compensation; business travel; global equity; and others. With the focus in the industry moving to automation and artificial intelligence, there may also be opportunities to be involved in robotics and cognitive technologies.

The work will often be demanding. There will be new projects and creative challenges. There will also be structured and regular tasks which will test your organisational skills. 

Above all, it will be satisfying and rewarding and a chance to work as part of a team dedicated towards providing great technology and services to its clients.

Your training and development

KPMG is committed to the continual development of its staff and the dedicated UK Learning function will afford you many opportunities to do so throughout your career. A solid foundation in tax technical skills is required for this role and therefore you will be supported through a professional qualification to become an Associate Tax Technician (ATT).

As a general rule, you'll be expected to meet the following requirements: 

- Minimum grade B GCSE* Maths

- Minimum grade B GCSE* English Language

- Minimum of 300 UCAS Tariff points* - must include a grade B at A-Level Maths

- Minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline  

* or equivalent

Please note that we only consider a candidate's 'top' 3 A-level grades and do not accept General Studies.
