The Global Strategy Project has reiterated the importance of the role of Sectors to our member firms and we have a significant opportunity to drive growth through our Sectors program. Working closely with the Global Sectors Head (GSH) for Life Sciences, you will play an important role in delivering the Global Life Sciences agenda.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual to work collaboratively across Global leadership, Country, Sector and Function leaders, GLPs, CSTs on some of our largest accounts. This is a challenging role, which is expected to take on new responsibilities and react quickly to new events to make things happen.

Critical to success is the ability to work effectively across a large global network of contacts, acting in a culturally sensitive manner whilst being able to leverage and influence senior stakeholders to bring together the right people and information together to help us achieve our strategic ambitions.

Key Accountabilities
- Direction and Leadership:Work with the GSH to manage the Global Sector Leadership team and help drive the sector initiatives.
- Develop and manage strong global and regional (internal and external) networks, driving managed collaboration activities to deliver on strategic objectives.
- Work closely with the GSH to ensure consistency in delivery of Sector activities and executing to agreed central strategy.
- Build strong communities and prepare sector wide communications.
- Coordinate and drive global in market and across market meetings.
- Interact with senior leaders across the firm and represent Sector leadership in firmwide forums.
- Driving Growth:Working with the GSH, drive and monitor progress on Global Accounts/Global Platinum Accounts; monitoring pipeline and actual revenue results, and following up with GLPs to drive accountability for growth targets.
- Act as the critical interface between the Global Functions and Solution leads to the Global Accounts and Global Platinum Accounts within the Sector. Work with the Account teams to create demand for the solutions, and with the GSH to ensure a market lens is applied to the development of solutions.
- Working closely with Market Development and Priority Accounts teams to coordinate efforts to drive growth across these accounts, coordinate the Global Account Planning process for Platinum Accounts and support the CSTs for the Global Platinum Accounts. Ensure that Functional and Solution Leads are also involved in this process to drive maximum value for the accounts.
- Ensure that major proposals are supported and insights and inputs secured, including personal engagement where required.
- Contribute to the Sector community and share best practices.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other sectors to ensure investment opportunities are shared and develop market activity at points of convergence.
- Understand the market trends, regional and account trends to provide insights and propose actions to accelerate growth.
- Coordinate and support the development of our industry qualifications, flag ship stories, and client testimonials.
- Thought Leadership: Working with the GSH, Sector subject matter experts and marketing specialists, co-ordinate points of view in the market and specific Thought Leadership materials; and drive the external marketing efforts
- Liaise with other Global Sector Executives to develop cross-sector Thought Leadership initiatives, materials and campaigns.
- Identify gaps in our thought leadership and support the execution to close them.
- Budget Monitoring: Manage the resources and budget at the disposal of the Sector to deliver on the strategic direction and objectives set by the GSH and prepare the updates on performance and utilisation.
- Day to day management for the sector level budget and co-ordinating supporting activities.
Experience & Knowledge required
- Successful Program management experience with evidence implementing change
- Facilitation skills with the ability to lead meetings, drive actions and ensure follow-ups are achieved
- Understanding of the commercial environment through sales, business development, sector experience
- Fluent written and verbal communicator with interpersonal skills; able to engage, build networks, and crucially influence and nurture relationships with senior leaders, including presenting information in formal or informal settings.
- Analytical and Strategic thinking to support the development of the sector strategy
- Experience of working within the Life Sciences Sector.
- Education: Degree level or equivalent
- Efficient and highly organised, able to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects/tasks and demands of stakeholders and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Takes responsibility and ownership, ability to work independently and to pursue tasks through to completion with a hands-on approach.
- Sharp, proactive, pragmatic and resilient. Demonstrates flexibility working in a dynamic and varied environment.
- Analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Able to undertake and analyse complex issues and challenges, evaluate options and make recommendations.
- Commercially focused, with experience in business development and/or sales/ account management.
- Passionate and Driven – works smart and effectively in a small team that interacts with a global network

- Resourceful & connected– able to find the right people and information across the global with limited support.

- Some domestic and international travel will be required (once countries open up their borders and it is safer to do so)
